is it not possible to make the game think "Ah, he's going into that grid, i'll load it first" it then waits for it all to load, then flys you into it (maybe holding you in warp while it does it). Rather than warping you into the middle of a blob so they can shoot you, then trying to load it, then when it finally loads you're dead. Confused

The Spartans got blobbed too, but they won because their screens loaded in time. If their screens could load in time for the fight hundreds of years ago, why can't ours load in time today? Their node didn't even die, and they had thousands of people in that system. Even with all the smacking in local their node held. wtf CCP?

There is a little in the new dev blog

Quote:
There are other systems which we are working on, such as better asynchronous resource loading to get you in on the action much quicker during warp-in, various Python improvements and initiatives (Boost Python, RPython etc.) which we're looking at and of course, we're always moving mature code from Python to C if it's highly utilized.

not quite exactly what you are saying though i know i have heard what you are saying been bounced around im sure. Its been mentioned in a dev blog before a few months ago as well but im not gonan go find that because it will take me ages, but thats enough just to confirm they are working on the problem.

hope it helps!
