So, after much debate and experementing with other games, I have decided to come back to EVE. This character was started in December, but due to RL I left and have not touched EVE since early January. However, my original account (which I decided to leave behind upon my return) was a release account. So, most of you are probably wondering where Im going with this =] Well, its simple really. Since I have been away for so long, and I have no real knowledge of the current state of the game (I did no research before deciding to resubscribe), what has changed? Im interested in PvP, but am by no means ready to venture into 0.0 as I only have roughly 2 mil SP. So what should I look for, or look to accomplish, before I am ready to set foot into 0.0?

Is pirating still a viable profession, or has the game turned into more or less fleet vs fleet? I do enjoy soloing, but understand that grouping is a must to be successful in this game. Last but not least, how hard is it to find a reasonable corp these days? Has recruitment become so strict and suspisions so rampant that a corp is impossible to find? All answers are appreciated. This used to be one of the most mature communities in MMO's, so hopefully things haven't changed too much. :D Thanks in advance =]

You're not that old, it's not hard to find a good group to play with as long as you steer clear of the elitist types.

Great war going on, a coalition against the Evil Empire.

You mean, a great Alliance against a ragtag Coalition?

Very Happy
