Looking for some suggestions on what kind of ship to use for lvl 2 kill missions. I just lost my damn Vexor and it went down hard. Any suggestions?

If you have decent drone skills, get another vexor and use drones. If no drone skills, go for the thorax. Use the best hardeners your skills/wallet allow and T2 armor repair if posible. If the grid skills are good, use railguns (of course, best named or t2). If you start having trouble with the grid (not enough power to fit the rails), switch to projectile weapons. Stay away from armor plates. "Damage Control" is your friend. Fit the correct hardeners for the mission and use the correct ammo; you should be fine.

Remember is not the ship that counts but how you fit it and use it.

Thanks. Appreciate the help. My drone skill is only at 4 right now so I guess I'll splurge and get the thorax this time round.

When you talk to the agent, then always ask for the extra details. Normally you can see an icon of what faction you're going to battle in that mission.

If there is no icon, then you often come up against either Drones or Mercs.

You only need to know what their damage types are, which you can find most places and also ingame on many player bio details.
