I've been taking a look at the Omen, and really took a shine to it, mainly because of the Vanguard Design, but I had a little mess about with the setup an come across this

4x Heavy Pulse Laser I/II (Multi-F/Gamma/Microwave)
'Arbalest' Assault Missile Launcher (Flameburst)

Sensor Booster I
2x Cap Recharger

2x Power Diagnostic System
2x Heat Sink II
1X Tracking Enhancer II (or another Heat Sink II)

3x Warrior Drones

The setup above is purely for gang purpose only, and will need a tackler for pinning them down.

The flaw with this setup is its defense, there is no tank at all.. So the main purpose is to try and give as much damage as possible and make your target die before you die.. Which i've read up, and thats what people say the Omen is for (mini gankageddon)

Is there anyway I could improve this ??

I was thinking of putting a webber/sensor damp & target painter (for the smaller ships, but then again the tacklers drones/missile can take care of firggies) in the mid slots instead of the cap rechargers, but with my cap skills not at thier best, I thought i'd stick with the 2 cap chargers

Could you post your suggestions on improving this plz?

EDIT - I would of also put a NOS in the top, but with my skills this is already a tight fit

hmm a guy who talks with links... how many new threads get created each and every day. Me contributing 1 extra thread today doesn't make no difference at all. And i have no clue why this should concern you, your not a forum mod or a DEV, so your opinion on this doesn't matter to me.

I like your thinking & for gangs it would probably work well. As you say I would drop a cap recharger and put in a webber though or you might find yourself getting blown away by a frigate. In fact I would drop both cap rechargers, switch the tracking enhancer for another pdu and use a scrambler too. The tracking enhancer will be alot less useful with a web & imho in small to medium gangs everyone should have a scrambler unless it cripples your setup.

You are completely negating the whole reason the stickies are there to begin with, every day new threads like this one are created when all you had to do was add to the pre-existing thread and get your desired result, minus the flames.

So yes, you are adding to the problem, that being ego and ignorance, an assinine combination tbh.

Oh ffs the guy created a thread about an omen set up, calm down for the love of lemons.

I don't like putting cap rechargers on a PvP ship personally, perhaps a webber and a small cap booster would be better meds (don't know if that will actually give more cap/second, but it does take advantage of the Omen's nice cargo capacity). You could swap a PDU for an RCU and make it a med cap booster which would definitely be better however.

I also like to have a MWD on almost any PvP ship, but again this is more PG and CPR that the omen just doesn't have. For a satisfactory fit I always find I have to downgrade at least some of the guns to Focused Med Pulse (which isn't really the end of the world) or do something crazy like put PG rigs on :D

Main setup has a few flaws, the biggest one beeing the meds
if you are in a gang in a omen chances are that you are going to be alot faster the the other slightly bigger things unless your flying together with friends in frigates and ceptors
therefore, it is incredibly usefull to be able to tackle

so the only real way of fitting the meds of a omen for pvp is by going:
1 10mn afterburner
1 stasis webb
1 20k warpscrambler

in your lows i recomend fitting two heatsinks and then as big of a plate that you can get on it and hope that you will live long enough for the enemy to die before you do, somthing that tends to be pretty common in gangs

your highs are fine, but you could drop the launcher for a nos, medium or small depending on the rest of the setup

I think you'd be better off loosing the cap rechargers, unless your skills are very bad, the only thing using a lot of cap is the guns, and that shouldn't be that big a problem. You'll want to fit either a MWD or at least an afterburner aswell.
