Like the title said, is this possible? Will the npc's armor get repaired? Will concord come for me?

It's possible to do. However it has been deamed an exploit by CCP as you could use it to kill other players without suffering the consequences of your actions (e.g. ship loss).

If you do rep rats and the person fighting them patitions it you will be warned and banned if you ignore the warning.

If a player gets spanked by npcs that are taking a long time to die then they probably deserve it. Seriously. I've taken out dual bc spawns in a rifter, and other than me running low on ammo I wasn't in any danger.

I thought the exploit was to get the ratter flagged by remote repping the rat ? How can it be deemed an exploit if all you do is use a module's intended effect on a rat Neutral

Without suffering the consequences? What about once the rat's finished off it's target and is now coming for you with full hp and such?

It's not fair to deem that an exploit, it's a game mechanic.

Ought to be flagged when you do. After all, you're helping a known pirate henchmen.

So Concord won't come for you, but players can.

The exploit is that the other Player ship is detroyed and you can get the loot without concord killing you ship. It was a way of high sec piracy that did not carry any risk or sec hit for the pirate if he used a big ship.

As some suggested its was a good way of killing macro mining barges, however if you do it in a battleship you are at no risk and can scoop up a couple of ice haverster II's and Cargo Expander II's.

How would you keep the macros from just warping out?

At first look it seems a fair way to combat macros in high sec. Only a macro (or an AFK miner) would die to this, real/genuine miners should be able to warp out. But the problem is that if it's declared legal, that same day a bunch of griefers will get into a noob training facility with a pasive tanked remote repper domi and cause havoc.

Macros with operators (the 10 barges in auto with the myrmidon watching over them) may warp out. But Joe Blue that downloaded a macro-program from ebay and is afk will die. This apply to those macro that after death, keep warping between base<->belt.

If you do this to a player that you consider a macro, is ok. As long as you petition it too.

I think then CCP won`t warn you.

That's why we don't make it allowed...but someone who's not at the computer can't petition what's going on YARRRR!!

Oh and that's what a macro miner is...you're thinking of farmers as "macros with operators"...macro = 3rd party program that does things for you. In this conext anyway.

Mate, I know what a macro is. My point, in responce to the other poster, is that yeah some macros would be hurt and some not. So the guy saying that macros would warp out is partially correct and the guys saying this would kill macros are partially correct too.

My definition of farmer does not involve a macro. A farmer IMHO is somebody who finds a way to make money and do it over and over again, with or without a macro. Anybody hiting a profitable complex over and over, that's a farmer. A guy with a Dominix, with a perma-run tank fitted, with the drones out killing sanchas AFK with no macro... that's a farmer too. We can go depper into the origins of the word "farming" on gaming history but that would be thread derailment.

And even if you are AFK, the logs can tell you a lot and deduction can fill in the rest.
