I have been back in EVE for 2 days, after over a year Hiatus from it. In these 2 days, I have been soaking up the info on these boards to reacquaint myself with the inner workings of EVE, it's politics, security systems, weapons and defensive systems, mining, etc.

I still haven't come across any player posts, or CCP posts on system activities. What I mean is, does anyone know an affiliate EVE site, or player made link that displays which Corps lay claim to which .4 or lower systems? What their level of activity in said systems is?

Any info would be much appreciated. If I rememebr correctly, I am currently hanging out in a Caldari State (.5)systm, but I'm interested in a neighboring .4 system.

When I entered it via a Caldari Shuttle, I noticed a container (In which alot of Corps. use as advertisement billboards, etc.) with a warning about possibly being shot on sight (Forget Corps. name atm). Nocontacts there at the time I entered it thankfully.

Anyways, again, any info would eb greatly appreciated. Thanks.

LOL. They are stickied maps I (Somehow) overlooked.

And they don't really tell what Corps. own what. They simply show which systems are connected to others. Wink

No-one owns 0.4-0.1 space, that's for the pew pew pirates YARRRR!!

0.0 space is the space owned by corperations and alliances, and you can see the maps for this at: http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=487342

I found THIS map. But it doesn't help me much. At least in the way of showing me where I currently reside.

So basically what your telling me is that the warning I saw in .4 space from a Corp. was just a scare tactic? I'm sure if they came there and saw me in their (Supposedly) claimed space, I would no doubt be attacked... but mainly, their just trying to keep noobs, etc. from mine whoring that area?

Pretty much. To my knowledge, no corps or alliances have tried to own low sec space. I'd still watch out though, since with no CONCORD there, they'll still kill you, whether they own the area or not. Remember, to actually "own" a system, you have to have the most POS and outposts in system.

Oh yeah. I forgot about the Outpost part of it lol.

Back a little over a year ago when I initially played EVE. I had a Ferox then as well. I ventured into a .4 to check it out. No one was in there. So I started to cautiously mine. 2 weeks rolled by and the only contacts in the system were shuttles passing through.

One day a bit later I warped in to find 2 Pirates at the entry warp. After a brief dog fight, I found myself at my clones station. So I am being VERY cautious since then.

I plan on varying my time frames to keep them guessing, as well as find an alternate route to enter the system, etc. LOTS of scanning. But hey, part of the fun is the danger after all. Very Happy

Thanks for the info BTW. Much appreciated.

Lowsec space has some interesting dynamics. There are some groups of systems that are patrolled regularly by one corp or another. They may not “own” the space, but they will certainly have some say as to whether or not you can pass safely amongst their friends. Some just hang out to pirate, others hang out to mine and offer mutual protection. I gotta say though, it’s hard for me to see people get so freaked out by lowsec anymore. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t be cautious, mind you, just that I have a hard time remembering how freaked out I once was heading through even a few odd lowsec systems.

I could point you to a few areas that I used to frequent that where certain corps were prevalent if you’d like to contact me in game. More than that lowsec is just too variable to really ‘control’. Incidentally, always remember to check the corp/alliance ticker of anyone you see fighting in lowsec systems. One or the other is likely of an aggressive nature and you can set your standings to that corp so you’ll have an easier time picking them out later on.

There used to be a guy who posted in this forum a long time ago who would always respond to lowsec/0.0 questions with “get out there and lose some ships/have fun/stop being afraid of lowsec/you’ll have more fun once you do”. I don’t want to be that guy, but damn it’s made for some fun evenings lately.

There is a map in the CAOD section that has a broad view of 0.0. Not sure about 0.4 and below systems.
