Yesterday I had something happen that was as bad as being pod killed. My idiot nephew deleted my main character. Three weeks of hard work out of the window.
I know that CCP are looking at implementing a way of bringing back deleted characters, but how about implementing a pass word protection routine to the characters too, That would help lift some of the load off the GM's too.
It would also help in another sort of situation. A couple off weeks ago I was attacked by another player. I destroyed his ship only to find out that it was some kid playing on his dad's computer without his dad knowing.
To set up a simple password routine would, I'm sure, save a lot of grief all the way around, for players, players family members and GM's.

There IS a password routine.
It's the one you fill in at the beginning.

The owner of the account is responsible for anything that happens with it.

Just make sure then when you load up EVE to the login box, you have save password not highlighted, this mean u'll need to type in the pass everytime you load up, but it's worth it to aviod those types of situations..

Peace out
