EDIT: OFFER CLOSED

------------------

I have a cosmos mission started in G5ED-Y that requires me to find "Black Jack" and then return to the agent with his DNA. I hear he spawns somewhere, at predictable schedule, and that's one way to get his DNA. I also found an agent that will supposedly help me get his DNA, but she requires Intaki Syndicate standings of +6.0 or higher.

I've lost many ships and 30+ hours trying to scan probe this guy ... no luck. Please reply if you have information.

I need information about where he spawns, what times, anything useful. I also need a player with Intaki Syndicate standings of 6.0 or higher to talk to an agent for me. No combat or work involved, I already have the item the agent wants. All I need you to do is show up and trade item to the agent!

Please please reply if you have any information about this mission, or black jack's whereabouts.

try using a locator agent - I have no idea if they can hunt down NPCs for you but they tell you where players are.

An alternate method would be to invite him out to a movie and dinner, and get him a little liquored up.

I gave this a try a week ago, thinking the same thing. Sure enough, the surveilence agent returned with a charactor named Black Jack. The character was not an NPC, but appeared to be player made. He was over 2 years old and last docked in the far south-west, near Syndicate I think. Grasping at anything I could get my hands on at this point, I spent an hour on autopilot and found the station. None of the agents there would talk to me, and there was no other clue I could see.

It was a good idea, but unfortunately no luck.

Please keep the comments and ideas coming, asking on these forums is the only idea I have left.

You saw Black Jack's Shack and didn't blow it up?

His shack is an interactable agent. The agent there requires Intaki Syndicate standings of 6.0+ to use, which I don't have. After talking with someone else who is stuck on this mission, I learned that blowing up Black Jack's Shack will "emit a low level doomsday device, killing all frigs on the grid".

Please reply if you have any information about his DNA!

He was last seen in a hidden site in G5ED-Y. He's probably on the move though, so you won't be able to nail down any static location where you can find him Cool.

I guess that means you should brush up on your scanning/probing skills if you already have not invested time in them. Twisted Evil

After speaking to multiple GMs, including a "senior GM", this is the best advice anyone has offered. It's ironic that we found him before I checked this post today, but I thank you nonetheless. Hopefully other players can benefit from the information, it would help.

Cheers all,

We pop't Black Jack a few days ago and he left his DNA behind. Yea, the smartbomb was nasty as it took my (Damnation) command ship (with logistics) well into hull. Fortunately, made it threw fine. Just posting to find more info on his DNA and such. Any help is very appreciated.
