Since I'll soon be able to afford one, what sort of skills should I be training in order to make full use of a Megathron?

At least give a recommendation or two.

Just to with start:

ALL gunnery to 4 (rapid fire, surgical strike, large hybrids, awu, etc)
Mechanic 5
Hull upgrades 5
Repair systems 4

All drone skills to 4

It's not exactly rocket science to figure out what you need and what you don't. Take 5 minutes to look through the various skills and you can save yourself a lot of hassle in posting a forum thread and waiting for a reply.

Jeeze, all I'm asking for is a recommendation. If I'd known half the forum was going to bite my effing head off, I'd have saved you the trouble.

Don't listen to Privan or the other guys. They obviously didn't understand the question and are just trolling.

Those of us that cared to "understand" your post knew you were asking...."I know the skill requirements to fly a Mega, but what additional skills should I have to fly it effectively."

It's easy to get such response if you give impression of being 'lazy'.

Might have been pretty different attitude if you had went through trouble of checking what you think you'll need, and posted that list as start of the conversation. Or using eve-search might have saved you from need of posting at all.

A lot easier for people to respond along 'X isn't that important at early phase, but you forgot Y and Z'

Wow, a guy asks a simple question and is met by a torrent of not so subtle sarcasm and pedantic jibber jabber. Quite pathetic.

To the people who helped him out, kudos and to the rest of you please stop clogging up the forums with petty drivel.
