Only takes 1 mil to start a corp. Best thing is to have a solid plan and recruitment policy first though! Wink

The real question is what can your corp offer for any one who joins?

I thought it was like 1.5m and corp managment lvl 1.

1.6 million ISK, Corporation Management 1, and a unique name/ticker is all you need to start a corp.

Unless you plan to be alone in that corp however, train Corp Management 2 and Ethnic Relations 1 (never will need ER to 2+).

If you need to handle more than 40 members...consider either a dedicated corp management alt (unless you have silly high charisma) or the services of someone who has one (shameless plug: see sig).

Well I can give you some input. I havn't had personal experience with leading a corp but i've been around people who have..

The corp first must have a well-developed infrastructure. This means it must have a plan for recruiting, generating isk, keeping members interested, and have someone or a group of people leading it. I think the main thing to do once your corp is going is to provide a goal. A good example that I can give is something like getting all of your members into cruisers. Once one goal is accomplished then you need to move onto the next goal, such as getting one or two battleships for your trusted members to fly. Of course you might want to leave some time between these goals for your members to generate isk for themselves through ratting or mining depending on what suits them. Another key aspect is to have the respect of all of your members. Keep them happy and make sure their not bored. Make sure they have something to fly in so they can be making isk. After your corp is up and running you need to be maintaining your corp hangar meaning you need to start producing modules for both stocking the corp hangar and selling on the market for corp profit. Occasionally you need to do a few pvp ops to keep your members on their feet and so they aren't just industry. After that it should be uphill from there and the bumpy part is over for the most part. The main thing to do is to keep recruiting TRUSTED players into your corp. I emphasize trusted because many corps end up recruiting theives unfourtunatly. Make a few people who you trust without a doubt part of the leadership in the corp to help you make decisions and you should be on your way to becoming a decent corp.

If I had the time and the experience I would definatly make a detailed "How to Start a Corp" guide for all the new players who wish to run their own corp.

They have to go to an office your corp has and put in an app. Than you go and accept that app. Than they accept again and your done.

If your corp has no office than you can rent one at any station (would advise one thats cheap, like 10k a month).
