With risk, comes reward of course

I tried t2 trading once, eons ago, problem is not enough people are buying them, and without the money back in my wallet I'm stuck. At the end of the day the best I've done was making 50mil, I dont know where this 200k margin 1000 orders a day comes from (check the t2 order history).

Not that its impossible though, and with work and dedication I'm sure 200mil a day (on a good day mind you) might not be impossible, but I'm sure happier having a steady 1 bil per week cash income without worriesCool

You weren't selling at the right place.
It's not like people are not using tech II modules ...

So I thought I'd have a go at this....
I bought 25 modules at 4.7m each and then sold them on at another station starting at 5.5m....(not bad .9m profit per module x25 =22.5m profit)

The problem was, 2 stations away someone else was selling the same modules lower than me so in order to get my mdules to sell i had to drop my price thus cutting into my profit.... I came out about 10m in profit for my troubles...

So what did i do wrong/what could I have done better?

Nothing. U still made a profit. Dont expect to make 25% profit every time u set up an order. Look at it that way:
22.5 mil > 10 mil > 0 mil
I'd rather earn 10 mil from 1 item every 2 days then earn 22,5 mil every 4 days. Why?
Because in the meantime money lands in your wallet which means they are already yours and no one can undercut u and what goes with it take the profit away from you.

This is changing as invention drops T2 prices and volume on items increases...

it will however require more forethought as with the increased volumes the margins on items are shrinking as well.

exactly. Where i operate i'm making about 100m a day in profit.

Best thing to do is to find a system that your mod is not being sold in alot and operate there.

WHere i sell there are lower sell orders in neighboring systems, but for most t2 mods people will pay the extra money to get it closer to home. If they have to move from a station to a different one, they may well move to a different system, but if you can find a station that has alot of people in it, operate outta there.
