Well, when buying something on the market, we are currently able to select the physical "range" to search (ie: Station, System, Constellation, Region). I would propose adding a "Universe" option, to allow people to find those items that are simply not offered in their region. ie: If I want to buy something, no matter where it is, and I'm willing to do the travelling to go and get it, I should be able to. Not sure if this would break the "exploration" vibe of the game, but there ya go.

Which leads me to my other market-related gripe. When purchasing something on the "regional" level of the market, it would be a GREAT HELP to know WHERE the actual item will appear once I'v bought it. I mean, I know I'm purchasing on the regional level, but 5 jumps away, vs. 16 is STILL a big difference, and it's something I'd like to know about before I purchase an item that's too far away for me to bother picking up!

this suggestion, IMO, would make trade route running too easy...it should take effort to discover the prices in each region IMO.

I can agree that a choice like "This region and surrounding ones" would be nice. But the entire universe? Do you have any idea how long it would take the market to load?

ooh, 'neighbour region' would be a godsend. My agent base is 2 jumps from the border of my system, so 'within region' covers about 30 hops in one direction, and 2 in the other. Being able to check the 3 systems that are 2-3 jumps away would save me an immense amount of time.

The only other option I can think of is for a 'search radius' measured in jumps. But I should imagine the CPU load of calculating the hops to 100 dfferent systems would be crippling.

And in the Market map, you should also be able to right click on a system and buy an item outright instead of placing just a buy order there.

There also needs to be filters that will only show items in high security areas or low security areas. Or have the ability to limit the search with in X number of Jumps.

But I do like the idea of when the buy window comes up that tells you that there are X number of units being sold at Y price, it should also tell you what system you are buying from.

I bought a skill the other day and all my asset window told me was it is at a station named Oris. There is no system named Oris, just a station in the Amarr system. Took me a while to find it.

Any additions to market abilities, in my opinion, should require, at a minimum some level of trade related skills.

Gotta say I disagree with the idea of being able to see the Universal Market. As said before, this would make trade routes too easy, and would also take forever to load. If one could see the market universe-wide, the whole idea of exploring and moving around would be pointless.

I do agree with another poster's idea of being able to buy an item in the supply window by clicking on "buy" at that location. Sometimes I may want to buy a series of things, and it may be more efficient for me to buy in a location that is a bit farther away, simply because it lines up with other locations I plan to be travelling to.
