Apparently, most wrecks contain no loot(in missions, havent tested in belts), whereas previously every ship dropped a can of stuff. But considering that I have only found named stuff so far, maybe they just reduced the amount of refinable junk you can procure from missions? Anyway, chime in. |

I don't know what timeframe you are covering with 'previously' but I did not witness every ship dropping a can right before the Revelations patch. There were missions with barely any loot can. One exception however would be the rogue drone missions.
The annoying thing however is that when you would not have a can previosly you would not waste time looting. With the wrecks now that is completely different. But the best are wrecks which neither give loot nor salvage items... |

' Ok, I'll concede, but most things over a frig did drop a can most of the time in my experience. |

It use to just seem like the angels barely dropped anything, but it may be I went against them far more often then others, but I know what you mean. It seems that by them not dropping garbage loot (modules to small and crappy) they now drop no loot. |

Didn't mention this in the other post but I have noticed less random junk (small shield booster off a 1mil angel BS?) but yeah, the wrecks do make it more apparent as to the frequency of loot drops.
I'll have a much better idea once I get a mission repeat from pre-patch. So far it's mostly new stuff i'm gettin'. |

seems CCP have decided to give manufactuers a boost by removing the amount of supply ( belt rats and cosmos rats and deadspace rats continue to drop good loot) guess its just a nerf to move players of doing as many missions ( even manfuacturing level 4 missions are now pure ISK) havent had any RAM, advanced science ksils or anything else for that matter |

I think people who are not that familiar with missions, or perhaps have not ran that many deadspace missions seem to forget or are just not aware of what it was like before Revelations.
1. In deadspace, the drop rate for certain NPCs (Gist, Pith, Core, Corpum) was never 100%, and could be as low as 20% in some of my experiences regardless of ship size. Exceptions to this were Rogue Drones, Mercenaries, Mordus, and Empire Faction Fleet ships.
2. Normal space Mission Battleship spawns would only drop loot cans part of the time.
I believe that because ALL NPCs are dropping wrecks now, and not all of them hold loot, the PERCEPTION is that loot amounts have decreased. I can tell you, from my experience, loot amounts are relatively the same as they were before Revelation.
I also believe that when people see a field of wrecks, they expect an absolute bounty of loot, and when this turns out not to be the case, they cry foul that loot has been nerfed. Fact is, loot was nerfed a long time ago, it just seems like it has happened all over again because of the infestation of wreckage.

Can't STAND wrecks >_<
Do what I do. Put gang tags in the overview. Fly in with an indy with sensor booster, cargo scanner and t-beams. Gang with yourself and tag every wreck. 0 if it's empty or crap loot, 1 if it's worth going after. Change 1's to 0 after you've looted.

A Single Cruise Missile doing 327 Damage after emptying a wreck keeps empty wrecks 'sorted' nicely |
