Prices are alot higher but the ships really don;t seem to offer that much more oomph for the buck. What is up with the lame resists ( still t1 level ) when most of the other t2 ships got significant increases to dmg resists didnt they?

The variety is nice and welcome I just don;t see them really improving on the t1 versions as far as performance goes, I mean nothing like hacs and assaults frigs are comapred to t1 frig and cruisers.

They aren't tech 2. They're tier 2 and tier 3 respectively.

1. They're not tech 2. They're tier 2 for battlecruisers, and 3 for battleships.

2. They're still rare. Thus sellers are able to charge a premium (luxury tax anyone?).

3. However, if you want a Rokh at a sensible price, drop me an evemail in game...!

They've only been out a few days so supplies are scarce and builders are cashing in. This is pretty standard behaviour when somthing new comes into the Eve market.

You can already see the prices dropping fairly quickly so we'll be down to typical t1 price margins soon enough.

Low supply.
Available supply comes from ME0 BPO.
The devs decided that it is a fantastic idea to make the ships roughly 1/3 more expensive without any real benefit over the tier 1 and tier 2 ones. Okay, some do look good.

Sighs. Coming from the man who knows all about T2 economics. Rolling Eyes

Buy the BPO and make yourself a cheap Tier 2, Tech 1 BC. While you are at it, learn T1 economics and then argue in a T2 thread.

I dont know the exact %ages but,,,

50% more minerals are required to build the Tier 3 BS, not sure about Tier 2 BC.

To manufacture the ships there is a 10% loss of minerals because the BPOs are not researched. They wont be researched for months.

Add on to this the question of supply, demand and greed (Minerals as well).

So prices wont drop drastically - dont expect them too.

Aren't the numerous dev blogs and discussion threads, the abundance of BPOs on the market, the T1 resists and the T1 skill requirements just a teeny tiny hint that possibly, just possibly, the new ships are not T2?

The amount of people who've been living under a rock for the last month is extraordinary.

Even with an unresearched bpo the manufacture cost on tier2 battlecruisers is around 40 million ISK give or take a few mil for the different ones. Isurance payout on the Hurricane (only one I've bought so far) at platinum is just under 37 million.

As more people buy prints and prints gets researched the prices will drop towards this level.

The prices are high because everyone wants a new toy.

They'll stabilise in a month, maybe two, as people go to producing them at a sane rate, and maybe start researching the ME/PE on them. I'd predict stabilisation at about the same margin as all the other T1 gear out there.

Patch Day, Drake Price : 120mill

Yesterday, Drake Price : 50mill.

Havent looked at anything else but id wager the curve is pretty much the same.

Well all of the BCs are objectively more powerful than the tier ones, no debate, and certainly warrant the price difference. T(tier)3 BS is more arguable.

Supply and demand. When a new tech-1 ship comes out, there is a run for the BPO. The buyers want to earn as much as possible in the fist days/weeks, when the demand is high, but the supply is still low. Later that profit isn't possible anymore, because more and more people jump on the train and start their production.
Wasn't really different, when the tier-1 battlecruiser came out or freighters. ( Although I don't know how much the first freighter cost, but the price dropped quite fast to a resonable level. Think nobody expected that there would be such a run for the BPOs. )

Give it time, then you can buy your t2 BC (Bloody Crap) and your t3 BS (Bulls.hit) cheaply and deploy it along side you t2 AF (A** F***ker), at a price level you have always enjoyed.

wow vicious packs of flamers!

Goofed on the tech2 vs tier2/3 issue Embarassed

My post was mostly posing a question in case i was missing something about thier performance.

"Sighs. Coming from the man who knows all about T2 economics. "

PS Jenny I never blamed players for some of the outrageous t2 prices I always put the blame squarely on CCP and they are finally admitting that over 3 times the playerbase is around from the time they seeded those t2 bpo's...thus it has become a problem so they are reseeding, sounds alot like I was right you were wrong eh?
