I don't feel like writing a large post when a short post is all that's needed. I know this idea isn't revolutionary, but I don't understand why it hasn't been implemented. If I have some huge error in my thinking then tell me.

NOS should have a stacking penalty. This should only apply from one ship to another. I mean that a single ship using 6 nos, 3 on one and 3 on another, should not get the penalty of 6. However, the same stacking effect used now could be implemented to limit the effectiveness of a nosferatu boat on a single target. This would not damage any ship but overpowered NOS+Drone+ECM boats. It would only serve to equal them out.

ECM should also provide a stacking bonus. This should work in much the same way. If two people apply ECM to 1 target, it should not face a penalty, however, if one ship applies 6 ecm, it should face a huge penalty. This makes permajamming a thing of the past, and once again serves to limit the effectiveness of NOS+Drone+ECM boats while not damaging the general use of ECM. This could slightly damage a scorpion, however, generally, this effect would be marginal.

Is there some flaw in this fix? It seems so simple.

*looks at Pilgrim and Curse*
They rely on 3 (Pilgrim) to 5 (Curse) Nos to survive.
So, no...no stacking penalties.

They're both considered overpowered ships.

Maybe you could rely on 3 nos....and fit a gun or two? Or a neut. Or anything. Really, the only problem you have is the curse and pilgrim? They're the exact ship type I'm talking about. It needs a nerf and it's high time for one.

Don't forget, I'm gallente. My best PVP ships rely on this combo. I prefer the game to be fair though, look at it from the perspective of the players who DON'T get one of these ships. They're really the best option out there, even for highly skilled weapons players, so look at it objectively and you'll agree some nerf is needed.

This is pretty much it.

With the ECM nerf on non-ECM ships they are no longer even remotely overpoewred.

The proposed Nos change made by Tuxford is not such a bad idea really. It will require people to fit 1 neut in addition to their NOS. That said, the change is not neccesary people over react to how powerful NOS appear.

WTF? Considered by WHOM? You?
Do you know how much they cost, or how long it takes to train
for one? Do you realize these ships come with certain (gasp)
weaknesses? Like they will always pop against a passively
tanked Caldari missile ship?
Stop whining, for god's sake.
EVE works like the ancient game of rock/paper/scissors.
You should not be able to omgwtfpwn any ship in the game
with your chosen combat strategy (which in your case seems
to be the common slug while tanking variety).
NOS are fine - the only problem YOU have with them is that
you have not adapted (or don't want to adapt).
Learn to play, and whine less.
For the record, I don't fly a Pilgrim, or Curse, or even Domi.

OMG, Its people like you L33t that are ruining the game. For God's sakes use your head and over come the obstacle. This is a thinking man's game. If Nos+Drone+ECM boat is the best out there then be it. What next, you want to turn this game into a turn based game. What is going to take to make you people happy. I know, lets do this. The first person to shoot wins. Whinny ass MOFO.

1. nos - needs fixing, tux has flagged it to be fixed, it will be fixed.
2. ecm - has been fixed and seems to be better, but time will tell.
3. drones - are not in need of fixing as far as i can see.

Actually as underpowered and problematic most amarr ships are the pilgrim and curse are the amarr pilots answer to other races overpowered ships like the vaga or anything caldari.

Yup those ships are the best Amarr ships and makes it possible for not dumb Amarr pilot to actually feel not being outperformed by everyone. But they cost a lot and are time consuming to train. I think Amarr pilots should get rewards for spending 3 months to train the ships.

Not whining there - I even don't fly one, but a decent number (actually all amarr pilots) of my corp members fly it and I'm dreaming to actually fly one in 3 months or so.

The devs probably also realize that enough nerfs to stuff will result in a nerf to their companies bottom line. White Wolf anyone? With the ability to scan out cloaks if they nerf the ships I'm spending a lot of time in SP to play I won't be wasting time to develop out another path. I'll be developing out that path in another game. Then you won't have to worry about that Curse or Pilgrim comming after you. You'll have less people to PvP against.
