It might help a lot if you knew what you were talking about before you shot your mouth off.
Up until last spring, this important mission (and most other important missions) only gave cash rewards and bonuses. The value of these missions was in the standing gain, not the automatic 50 mil rewards.
Then last spring, with the mission changes (i.e., removals)related to dragon code, all of a sudden most of the important missions were gone and the few that remained (about 5: materials, transactions, cover your tracks, shipyard theft, kidnapping, and maybe 1 other) ALL started giving implants.
That crashed the +4 implant market (huge supply) and prices dropped from 80-100 mil to ~40 mil.
That in turn, crashed the +3 implant market (why pay 30 mil for a +3, when you can buy a +4 for a little more).
That, in turn, killed the LP offers, because the implants were now worth less than the nominal cost of the LP required to get them.
And so on.
CCP is merely fixing something they carelessly broke a half a year ago (and it's about DAMN time), by not thinking through the myriad inter-related consequences of their change. And if you think it's because they have nothing better to do then create a time sink, your understanding of this game is so poor as to be beyond comprehension (and I'll bet you think Bill Clinton got involved in Kosovo to distract from the Lewinski scandal).
