looks like the tier 1 bcruisers are the gang ships while the tier 2 ones are the kill ships

I suspect that's a simple oversight. Gang mods are the defining unique characteristic of the battlecruiser class.

I dunno, like people have said, T2 bc's make T1 BC obsolete.

However with gang assist modules you can have functional battlecruiser squadrons that will require both types of ship.

I say give the tier 1 BC's the ability to use 2 or 3 gang mods like a fleet command and the tier 2 BC 1 gang mod like the feild command.

tuxford, in order not to make tier1 BC's totally obsolete, I would advise to make the ability of fitting command mods, tier1 only.

i would have to 100% agree with that. as it stands the only t1 BC not 100% made obselete now will be the brutix. the cyclone, ferox, and absoultion are effectively obeslete as soon as kali hits unless they get a big boost

But as people are saying I do not feel the cyclone is obsole but it would be nice if we made the tier 1 more like a fleet in the ability to use 2-3 gang mods while the tier 2 is the field only having the abilty to use 1 gang mod.

I agree, Currently the Cyclone does about as much damage as the Rupture for more ammo use. As a small gang leader, assist mods offer some bonus, but without it, the Cyclone is essentally a more costly bigger, better tanked Rupture.

Now as I'm fairly new, I don't know the other races as well as Min, so this might be different for them.

TBH i'd still use the Brutix for dual rep blaster madness. I dont see how the Myr makes it obsolete.

The brutix isn't obsolete because its a turret ship while the new BC is a drone boat. Much like the Domi and Mega.
