Background: I killed a arma and podded his pilot later after he didn't reacted on 2 "your life or your money" messages after 2 mins. -3 sec status. Seems I have to visit my fixer.

Problem: Hes behind some highsec systems. But I had no problems to travel through with a shuttle and -2.5 sec status and a mate of mine said that the police are pushovers some time ago, so stupid me makes a very bad decision. He decideds to go with his scorp to his fixer.

No, everything is ok until I was in a 1.0 system, 4 vexors and 2 dominix warpjam me, but don't web and make really pityfull damage. Could escape them with 200 shielddamge inflicted. Next system, a 0.9. Same police. But this time they scramble AND web me - 190 speed max. *gulp* And the Vexors are fast than me, come closer and begin to deal respectable damage. *double-gulp* So, what does one do whille his scorp is shot to pieces around him. Curse hemself. And think really fast.

Tired ejecting and boarding the ship in the vain hope that they will loose my target - nope. Right before my ship was *really* killed I ejected again and warped away after making a bookmark. There was a really old bug which made a ship invulnerable if you ejected right before it was killed. No idea if it was still active, but I had no other options.

So, my pod warped to the station, got himself a shuttle - which I could have saved myself to do, it was shot to pieces at the gate of the system. So I made 4 jumps as a pod. Finally at my fixer and in a slightly bad mood and somewhat nervous someone would board my ship in my absence (since it was at a warpin point) I enhanced my sec to -1, where I wouldn't be attacked, bought a shuttle and made the hell back to my scorp (if it was still there).

After some nervebraking minutes I finally got there, and - oh wonder - a nice little white-green box of a firendly ship greets my eye. No other players, no police/army. Boarded it and made my way to a nearby station. It's stats: 294 armor and 61 hull.

Either this invulnerability bug is still there or the police simply stopped fireing after I warped away.

Anyway, the "Moron of the Month" Donkey head is MINE. I'll pod anyone who disagrees.

So, your telling us all that you exploited a known bug. Smart, really smart... lol

In higher sec space its graded - police will attack as follows:

-2.1 or below = police attack in 1.0
-2.5 or below = police attack in 0.9
-3.0 or below = police attack in 0.8
-3.5 or below = police attack in 0.7

and so on...

-4.5 or below = police attack in 0.5
-5.0 or below = police/sentry guns attack in 0.5 or above

I can't believe that you posted about using an exploit right here on the forums. What were you thinking? Hopefully someone from CCP sees this and takes some action.

Have any of you considered that perhaps she wrote about it, so ccp can fix the bug ? (not saying she did, but she could have been. giving me no right to judge. )

@ Keo: I think the topic told you already that I'm not smart, doesn't it? Razz

@ Corpsicle: Thanks for the info. It was just strange that I used a shuttle some days ago with a sec rating of -2.5 on the same route (which involves 0.9 and 1.0 system. I was travelling afk then and found it at it's destiantion without any damage when I was at the PC again.must have been lucky then and not ran into any patrols. Or jumping very near to the gates.

Exploit - not exploit. Depends. IMO it's as much an exploit as logging off during combat to avoid destruction. or isurance scams, for that matter.
And, as said, I don't know if this stoneage bug is still there (I think someone told me once that it was fixed) or concord simply stops to shoot at a ship if the violator if he's not in it. Must test it these days with a cruiser.
And nevermind that I took a hugerisk there - the ship was at a jump in point - andone with the right skill could have simply boarded it in the time I was away, which would have resulted in the instant loss of hardware worth 60-70 million for me.

Yep that bug is still in, saw it happen yesterday. On the up side it left us with a nice battleship to board:).
