On these forums, especially in C&P I see posts beginning with "I read a lot of postings about people complaining about PVP/pirates etc"

I have just spent an hour and a half going through a small sample (roughly 60 or so, no search function? WAAAAAAAAAAH) of likely looking whines/carebear posts. Out of that sample there were 2 with people saying they do not like PVP and 1 of these said he was quitting.
However, there are far more posts with people whining about people who whine about PVP/pirates, so, the obvious question is, where are all the carebear whines? It seems to me there are far more pirates (and a few but far less PVPers) moaning about how CCP, under pressure from carebears, has nerfed that particular style of gameplay. What is going on here? Is it simply that PVPers that force non-pvpers into fighting them or, as some people do (no names but sounds like gank 3po) destroy everything that comes their way, receive a lot of hate eve-mails/or see more local channel whines than others?

So, again, my question is, where are all these anti-pirate/anti-pvp whines?

Thanks

p.s. I am all for pvp and pirates

This is a good point, I rarely spot any of these so called "carebears", maybe they are nocturnal? Who knows? Maybe we need "Carebear inspectors" to send into eve to find them all?

I think that usually when people are "whining" there are legitimate reasons, say for example people getting killed by pirates whislt they are still loading and stuff like that.

But what I have noticed alot is pirates go on and on and on (er and on and on), about these seemingly rare carebear creatures. Usually it seems that some pirates REALY dont like it when someone disagrees with thier tactics, and they therefore call them a carebear.

OT "I wanted to see the Berlin wall but some prat knocked it down"

My god, another eve player listens to that station too :)) OT

It isnt much fun to find yourself in a pod or clone facility by the time you load up but I reckon 90% of these are people not being careful about using the map etc

It was just that one line from that radio show that really made me laugh, so I made it my sig Very Happy

Anyway, TBH I dont think someone not using the map properly is relavent to lag death, I mean it could happen to anyone under any circumstnance. Though I actually mean lag at jump in points, because if you die from lag at say a gate which is being camped, its not the pirates fault is it? But at a jump in point the campers are likely to know that you are gonna take time to load, and thats why people see it as an exploit because it gives the campers an unfair advantage.

I mean yeah you do get people who fly into low sec space expecting everything to be fine, and in my opinion by going into low sec space you are running the risk of getting blasted, and you should always be checking the local and watching your back. But if you get lagged to bits and killed it makes the whole thing a bit pointless.
