Operation Deliverance

It is almost two year's since the CVA first launched Operation Deliverance.

As many of you know the CVA's 'Deliverance' project was aimed at reducing the threat of piracy in the 'southern' region of the Amarr Empire in systems such as Kheram, Gemodi, Mamet and Misaba.

More ambitiously we also set out to impose law and order on the neighbouring 0.0 space in Providence and claim it for the Amarrian Empire.

Since that time the CVA has fought many skirmishes, battles and wars in its efforts to pacify and then control these areas. These conflicts have been hard fought, bloody and never ending - but as loyal Amarrians we have never accepted defeat.

Over time we, working alongside likeminded friends such as Huzzah and NOS, have generally succeeded in creating one of the few reasonably safe areas of 0.0 open to all to enjoy and profit from - provided they are willing to abide by our no piracy rules.

The region went from being a quiet backwater plagued by pirates who ganked everything in sight to a thriving hub of commerce and business generating substantial tax revenues for our holy Amarrian exchequer.

This new found prosperity was given physical form with the construction of a CVA Outpost earlier this year, providing a hub and market serving all decent, honest hard-working capsuleers in the 'Deliverance' region.

A new threat

Of course over time the CVA has made many enemies amongst the less lawful and indeed have fought many engagements with those who seek to undermine our Amarrian ideals. Chief amongst these is the Minmatar terrorist Ushra'Khan alliance who have been our constant enemy and have set up their own 0.0 outlaw fiefdom close to our territories in Providence.

Others enemies, who may be less well known - but are no less bitter in their antagonism towards us, include The Sudden Death Squad (TSDS) alliance and The Priory Corporation. Indeed these enemies constantly probe our defences, reactions and reflexes as they seek to recreate the pirate haven which they once enjoyed in this region.

In late July our old enemies - encouraged, backed up and supported by ISK supplied by wealthy backers of the heretical Verisum Family alliance - launched one of the largest onslaughts that the CVA and its friends have ever faced.

Our list of foes was long and featured some prominent combat organisations:

- The Blood Inquisition Alliance
- The Versium Family Alliance - most notably the mercenaries of the
- Omniscient Order Corporation (formerly CUlt of Cthulu)
- The TSDS Alliance
- The KIA Corporation
- The Priory Corporation

At the outset of the campaign many of our enemies repeatedely predicted our imminent demise and indeed many neutral observers were also of the opinion that the CVA and all that we stand for was doomed.

The attacks came on many fronts and indeed it was not just the CVA that suffered during this period as official wars were also declared on our friends and allies in the region.

It would be foolish and untruthful of us to state that this period was painless or that we dealt with this onslaught with ease. While CVA losses were within acceptable limits our normal anti-piracy 'peacekeeping' activities were very restricted due to the continual presence of large numbers of enemies.

As a result, many of the neutrals living and working in our region suffered greatly increased losses as our enemies and other opportunists preyed upon them and this is something we deeply regret.

Never in the field of space combat...

Without doubt the pressure placed upon the CVA was huge. Our 240 (ish) pilots were vastly outnumbered and faced the strain of near constant combat versus many skilled and experienced pilots.

Yet they never wavered. Alongside our loyal friends in NOS, the CVA maintained its morale and day after day wore down our enemies in a massive show of fortitude and endurance and our enemies losses mounted. While we did suffer our own losses (one carrier and several command ships to name just a few) it is fair to say that not once did we consider abandoning 'Deliverance' to the heathen forces of chaos.

Indeed as the war went on our determination to cripple our enemies increased in intensity and gradually those voices predicting our imminent demise grew more and more silent as their losses steadly mounted.

While the war is not yet over it is clear that for the present the CVA has withstood all that could be thrown at it and triumphed against the odds. The Priory has (in the main) moved onto a new campaign (we are sure they will return sooner or later as they always do), Verisum Family retracted their war amidst internal turmoil, the KIA Corporation has had minimal practical impact (and in theory that war ends later this week), Blood Inquisition has proved to be a limited threat and the TSDS alliance is for the third time staring defeat in the face.

Delivering 'Deliverance'

While the threat has diminished it has not, and never will, go away. The CVA will now concentrate on removing TSDS from our space for a third time, as well as evicting those opportunist pirates who have taken advantage of the turmoil to establish footholds in the area. We have already started this process with the elimination of a pirate dreadnought in Yong last night.

Over the next few weeks we shall reassert our grip on the Deliverance region and once again make it one of the safer regions for legitimate business. While no low-sec and 0.0 space can ever be 100% secure visitors to the Deliverance region can rest assured that the CVA and our friends ceaselessly work to 'civilise' this small corner of the galaxy on behalf of Amarr!

We would like to thank our enemies for what was on the whole an interesting and respectful campaign. While you undoubtedly have many talented and dangerous pilots within your ranks they can never hope to match our Amarrian fanaticism and determination.

We would also like to thank our friends in the NOS alliance as well as the many other neutrals who provided us with both big and small assistance during this campaign. Their help was an undoubted contributed to seeing the eventual defeat of our enemies.

Inevitably the CVA shall eventually face a major onslaught again - either from old enemies or new ones. Rest assured that while we may not be the most numerous alliance in the galaxy our pilots are skilled, our wallets are large, our fanaticism is strong, our faith is true and we will never surrender.

I have to admit that I have seen many of these events first hand, as the wars begain right After my corporation moved into the area.

At first, with the massive wardecs, It felt like the end may be coming close for our new-found friends in the CVA.

AT first, it felt like a small piracy war was growing in the area, retaliating against an anti-Piracy movement.

CVA Stood Strong.

And then, I noticed the Large number of Mercenaries in the area. The most recent of them being KIA. This is when I began to worry, As seeing an increase in the number of Fighters in the area, It looked like we may begin seeing some major fights in the area.

CVA Stood Strong.

The pirates held the routes into the region. Killing any who crossed their path.

CVA Stood Strong.

And now, The tide has turned. The Money of the enemies has run out, and the hired mercs are having to fall back to their homes. CVA has already begun its return fights against the hostiles in the area.

CVA has stood through one of the largest assaults I have personally seen, And I'm glad to have been there to see it, and have survived it as well.

Continue the Good Fight CVA!

I must admit during my young days as a just-graduated cadet in her still-new pod, flying under and with CVA (though not officially) has been one of the most enlightening and educational experiences I've ever had. I carry still the lessons i have learnt from these pilots, and stand with them against piracy in all it's forms.

Grace of God be with you CVA, as you have been with this young pilot who speaks.

Hardin,

I have called you dusty over the years, but...really...you need to clone..that dust that came out of your mouth right there was...disturbing.

You could do for a face lift too...those rosey cheek bones i love are sagging.

While war is never pretty the cause is righteous.

When battle is engaged and the adrenalin starts to pump everything becomes a blur - all that is remembered is that we fight for the glory of Amarr.

Live or die it does not matter - what matters is the cause and that will never be abandoned - no matter who seeks to stand in our way.

Blood may be shed, ships may be lost, deception and deceit may sicken, weariness may overwhelm - but our love of our holy Amarrian Empire drives us ever onward.

The Amarr Empire is the a bulwark of stability and enlightenment in a chaotic galaxy. It has stood the test of time and is the only realistic hope of humanity.

Every loyal Amarrian awaits the glorious day when a new Emperor is selected and the our indomitable navy is let off the leash to begin the reclaiming of the rebellious Minmatar slaves and all who ally with them.

Until that day the CVA and other loyal Amarrian paramilitary organisations shall continue work to secure our space against pirates and terrorists wherever Concord fails in its duties.

Indeed in Providence we have already begun our own reclaiming for our cause is holy and everyone deserves enlightenment - for only then can they understand the righteousness of the Amarrian way.

Riiight.

Anyways, i got an overstock on farming equipment. Scalped it off some clueless Amarr in one of the core worlds. You want it? Barter you for a Vitoc shipment, or ill let it go for a modest shipping and handleing fee.

I am an honest man, and I will admit that one of the units is slightly damaged. <grumbles something about mercs haveing horrible aim.> Its practically free....a divine gift.

<inspects something off screen>

You know...these machines are interesting...they run on slave "power".

I am temporarily in Imperial Shipment while I wait for my application back into Imperial Dreams to be processed.

As many know, I have an active alliance creation business. This requires me to leave the CVA temporarily while I carry out my consulting work.

The ISK accrued from this service is provided to my half-sister Siobhan who maintains a constant presence in the CVA combating the enemies of Amarr.

The process of alliance creation takes approximately ten minutes if managed properly. During that time I concentrate on ensuring that I get the legalities correct.

Once the papers are signed and the alliance creation fee is paid to the proper authorities I return to the nearest CVA station and rejoin at the earliest opportunity.

I hope that answers your question...

I congratulate you on your successes, sir. I'm pleased to see *someone* is successfully reclaiming low sec/0.0 sec space.

We could use considerably more zeal in that regard in selected areas of the Forge.

someone installed breath analyzers in all my pod bays that prevent me from undocking in a 'intoxicated' state. *mourns*
i am working on removing them though and as i think the installation of those devices was at least ordered by some benevolant entity i will not persue the matter afterwards.

rest asured, there will be drunk exploits again, as the intoxication opens my mind to the void and i can hear His calling even louder!
