^^^ That bug has been fixed. And the acuff thing is nothing to worry about its just the person who built the program. It's not trying to phone home, eat your cookies, or melt all of your cars into scrapmetal.

Yep, EVEMon uninstalled. Directory definitely gone. Re-downloaded the 1.1.0 installer and tried again. Same problem.

If you don't mind using a beta version, try the latest cutting edge build (1.1.1) from the evemon website. It may resolve this issue.

If your eve-mon broke tonight (crashes at startup) its because you are using an old version 1.0.25 which is no longer supported.

You need to update to 1.1.0 http://evemon.battleclinic.com/

The only version that fixes that issue (that I'm aware of) is the 1.1.1.150 version (we got it fixed in the last group of bug fixes). If that version doesn't work for you then please let us know. Some folks can use 1.1.0 fine (like i could), but for some obscure reason some folks installs loaded stuff up in a slightly different order and that caused this problem. The software now correctly waits for the right stuff to be loaded so it doesn't crash on start (as much - I hope).

There are still a few bugs (that we are working on fixing) but it shouldn't crash on start anymore.

PLEASE NOTE: Development versions of EVEMon (the cutting edge versions) DO NOT auto update. The normal release versions do (well... they should anyway)... if you can get them to run long enough. This is by design.

Hi,

Here's a new issue in EVEMon 1.1.0.73 (d/l today). When in Plan, selecting the Phased Monoprop [...] MWD throws an exception.

Sorry but I don't mind registering on EVEMon Trac yet. Later, maybe.

Allow me to clarify: Development versions of evemon will autoupdate TO the next release version, but they will not be automatically downloaded. If you install the cutting edge version (version 1.1.1.150 right now), it will automatically download version 1.1.2 when it comes out... but then when version 1.1.3.XXX (the next major development version) comes out, it will not be automatically downloaded.

So, to summarize, EVEMon will always download and use the latest certified "stable" release. If you want to play with the new toys, you have to get them yourself.

Everything is working great for me, but I would request the same as someone on the first page of this thread, change the skill level representation... the stars are difficult to read at a glance... something like what EVE Character Manager used, symbols that were dots in the arrangement of the face of dice. I can provide an example if necessary, I still have an old ECM download sittin on my laptop... just don't care at all for those stars. EVE-mon as a whole though is definitly the best skill program I've seen in the last 2.5 years of playing. Too bad it missed the eve-i era. =/

Selectable icons for the skill selection list are coming to an EVEMon version near you soon(TM) (Read: as soon as I integrate some stuff from a branch copy I've been working on and then get 5 minutes to learn the coding for and then change the settings page to show them - or Stevil beats me to it, whichever comes first - Oh and just remembered, also have to make sure that setting is saved too.) Basically selectable icons is a work in progress.

I post my bug report here since I don't want to bother signing up etc over at the site.

Am using the latest dev source so I am not sure if this applies to the stable releases or not.

E-Mail alerts are missing the skill level when being sent, for example it will only say "Yuffie has finished training Logic" but not which level it finished.

Keep up the good work!

Ive noticed that in the skill planner when checking implants calculator the attributes dont seem to take into account the Learning skill as my ingame attributes are higher than the planner is telling me by upto 2 points. I double checked the implant settings and the figures I entered are correct.

Ummm, you are looking at the 'Effective' column in the 'Implant Calculator'? I have all advanced learnings to 5 and it's got my 'Effective' values at higher than what I have in-game (round the 'Implant' Calculator' values down to nearest whole number and they'd be the same though).

I have never had a problem with Eve-Mon, but today when I started it, it crashed. I reset it a numbers of times, but it crashes everytime it starts up. According to the Eve-Mon site, I have the latest version. The error message I get is:

Your using version 1.0.25, that's what that means. You need to update. CCP send a bad XML to 1.0.25 on purpose because it acts as a DDoS attack to the my-eve server if it doesn't get things it's way. By making that version crash out CCP avoid that happening and we can all be happy. There are numerous threads about this on the old message boards, and the new bug tracking system. The new site is http://evemon.battleclinic.com as per the numerous threads on the old message boards.

'EVE-Mon' is the main release version, this will autoupdate to the next main release version.
'EVE-Mon Cutting Edge' is the most recently release development version - this will only autoupdate to the next main release version which will then count as a normal install for update purposes. To get any Cutting Edge version you need to manually go and get them.

We've recently had a main release so it's the same version. We've been talking about getting a nightly build up for the cutting edge version... but that's on the back burner... someone said something about sorting out an automated nightly update... wonder if anything has happened on that front.

Current SVN dev version is 1.1.2.207 if you feel like dl'ing the source and building it yourself.
