It wouldn't matter even if it was :P, you need Jovian Battleship II to fly them.
There have been instances in the past where a person has found a empty jovian ship (even a battleship) and couldn't jump into it because they didn't have the skills.
There was some special event in the past too where a fleet engaged a single jovian BS and it couldn't do anything to it :P.
There's a movie of that around too somewhere...
Anyway, nah, I just made the screenshot in Photoshop during the MC war because I was bored. The joke was that I had found a secret weapon in my hanger. |

a while ago i had a chat with someone it it and they said that Jovians wil lcome back by mass invasion. not sure who this person was but he said he was some sort of dev or something. i do not put much credit to what was said but he gave some info and such that makes me wonder. i think we can see this within 10 months. |

Required skill for Polaris frigate is the Polaris skill. Which you only get by being in ISD  |

I could have sworn back in the beta days that it was said that at some point CCP would open it up so some players could be jovian pilots. Basically I lost all hope in that 2+ yrs ago but still it would be nice if ppl got somewhere between 75 mil and 100 mil SP they we be allowed to migrate thier chars over to Jovians.
Can't hurt to dream.
{edit} it would be nice for those customers that were that loyal and pumped that much $$ in to CCP's business over that many yrs. |

I have a site that use to have a selection of ships you could click ingame, some of them were jovian but seems they were removed from the site, maybe the devs asked the guy to take it off?, anyways it had the polaris and a bunch of similar ships, as well as a whole lot of jovian ones. One thing I remember is that the jovian bs had 8/8/8 slots, with the best armor and shields (altho not in an extreme way, about 6-7k) and very good starting resists (again nothing extreme)

During the fun little "everywhere is 0.0" on Sisi a while back, one of the devs came out to fight in an Enigma. Appearence-wise, they're just Daredevils with a nice red/black colour scheme.
They tank rather more effectively though. It was being webbed by more than 10 ships and had even more pounding away at it, but still took a few minutes to go down. That's a Tech 1 frigate, comparable to a Punisher or Incursus, in case anyone isn't sure.

the almighty oveur has stated jove are slated for 2007 at some point kali was first then planetary interactions (planetary colonlies etc) then after that the jove now that kali is being pushed to novemeber approx and then maybe first state of plantery flight and interaction so lets say April to august 2007 will see the jove brought into eve. |

Back when the devs set up a test server with all systems 0.0 VNC and Subac Tech had taken over a system in Amarrian space and had an awsome encounter with a GM Enigma spamming cruise missiles.He poped a dozen battleships,battlecruisers and cruisers and IIRC a Cerberus before one of my corp members used a cheap Blackbird to ECM the little monster long enough to kill it.The GM came back,poped a few more battleships finished his job and returned to GM land. And fun was had by all.  |

Yes a polaris can be destroyed. Just requires alot of ships and alot of time  |

During the sisi 0.0 event, I remember seeing a GM in a Jove frigate. After seeing it, one player ofered to meet teh GM by one of the moons for a 1v1 player BS against Jove BS.
The response was "I don't need no Jove BS to pwn your BS, the frigate will do fine!"

You are not allowed to attack GMs. You are most definatly allowed to pod them. And when you've podded them, you should absolutly give them their corpse back when they ask for it. Sassniak (or who was it? I can't remember, I'm getting old...) learned that the hard way. The information above is also a clue as to why these ships now have 99.9% reists... :) |

I have that video on my computer. It shows a Jovian battleship getting engaged by an "XF Fleet" for a few solid minutes and they cant really do much to it. Scary stuff. |

yep, I've seen everything from a jove frig to a jovian battleship...
oh and for the record, only way you MIGHT be able to destroy a Polaris ship is to engage like 10 doomsday devices and then another 5 like 100ms after that first 10. |

i was camping a .4 gate with just me in system, i popped an indy that dropped a bunch of small secure containers or something, and a gm in a polaris frigate came and cleaned them up. it was cool because it was just me and him
