I just popped a new GeForce4 into my machine, replacing an old GeForce3.

Since using the new card I've noticed a very annoying graphic thingy, when I enter a roid field, and two roids are growing out of each other, where they join the line is all jagged and buggered up.

The GeForce3 didn't do it, so I know its a problem with the card.

I'm using the latest drivers and DirectX model.

anyone got any ideas?

I have the same problem using a Radeon 9800 Pro. It appeared after the latest patch.

Z-buffer and a lack of fogging in the distance for this game.

No known workaround at this time; supposedly setting the system to 32 bit color helps (not really).

Had the problem since beta, only ships and a couple of gallente stations do not suffer from it... i've heard that the name for the bug is "z-fighting"

Its caused when the z-buffer's resolution is two low... and since 32-bit is the highest right now... we screwed.
