I will be dead by morning he thought to himself.
I have lived my life to the best of my abilities and have tried to be a fair man in my dealings with the folks of this town.

He barely heard the hissing of the whip nor felt the sting of its tip. He was too far gone for such trivial things now.
The only good thing now, Was that the rope he was hanging from no longer pained his wrists, The Gods had been kind and had sent blessed numbness to them.
The dampness caused when his bladder had involuntarily released was drying fast now, Not bothering him the way it had earlier.

Even the laughter and crude remarks of his tormentors went unheard, For he did not care to waste the remaining time of his short life listening to the taunts and jeers of his torturers, he had more important things to think about.

All that mattered to him now was what was to become of the town he had sworn a solemn oath to protect.
Tears welled up in his eyes as he thought about his son and what might happen to him after he was gone.

The child has no one to look after him, By the Gods I wish his mother was still alive to care for him.

All you people look at the man you paid to protect you! Cried out the pirate leader, He doesn’t look so tough now does he? The leader bellowed, shaking with evil laughter.

Whip him again, He commanded, show these insolent townsfolk what we do to anyone who stands in our way.

The town folk were all huddled in a tight mass like Gallante cattle in a holding pen.
They were forced to watch as their protector was tortured and humiliated in front of them.
They were simple law abiding, peaceful folk, Not a single one of them with a warriors heart.

The sheriffs son cried and tried to run to his father, But was restrained by the town scholar.
Quiet boy, He harshly whispered into his ear, You cannot do anything to save your father.

The boy stood shaking, Silent tears of sorrow streamed down his face as he watched his father being whipped without mercy.

Finally almost mercifully the leader walked up and pulling his pistol shot the sheriff in the head.
Then in a evil gesture of insolence ripped the cheap tin star from the dead sheriff’s body and pinned it to his belt.

NOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo screamed the boy, Father,Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
He broke from the grasp of the scholar and darted towards his dead fathers lifeless hanging body.

Hugging his fathers dangling legs he cried, A great wailing sobbing crying that only young boys are capable of producing.

Look at this pathetic thing, Exclaimed the leader, He cries for this poor excuse of a lawman. In fact he acts Yellow just like his father was.

The boy, upon hearing this turned from his fathers dangling body and exclaimed, I will kill you all for what you have done to my father.

Picking up a rock he ran fearlessly towards the pirate leader screaming in rage.
The pirate calmly drew his pistol and as the boy approached hit him a severe blow across his face, Blood droplets sprayed from the boys forehead, Raining onto the ground around the boy as he collapsed and almost instantly were sucked dry of their moisture by the greedy parched earth
.
Why you little Bastard, exclaimed the leader, I will teach you a lesson you will never forget.
He proceeded to kick and stomp the lifeless boys body until the town scholar cried out, Please Stop Sir! He is a child and knows not what he is doing.
Please spare his life I beg of you.

Hmmmph, said the leader, Killing him would be a waste of expensive ammo anyway.

Now you townspeople listen up!
You have seen how pathetic your plan to bring a lawman here was.
In punishment I demand the following!

We expect three times the supplies and five times the monetary tribute when we come back next time, or we will come back here and wipe out your pathetic town.

His gang slapping and kicking the townspeople, forced them to finish loading the supplies they had taken from the townspeople.
They also forced three of the prettiest women into the leaders hover car.
Don’t worry he cruelly exclaimed to the cowering crowd, I will treat your daughters with extra special attention.

Ohhhhhh , Moaned the boy, My head hurts so bad.
He slowly opened up his eyes and looked around him.

The room was dim and there were shelves and shelves of books and papers jumbled across their surfaces.
Cobwebs were rampant across the Ceiling and dust covered everything.

A single half burnt candle resided in a old brown bottle on the stand next to the cot he was laying in.
Wax from it dripped and coated the sides of the bottle.

The room smelled of dampness and musk, But what really struck the boys nose was the smell of .. of age was the only way he could describe it to himself.

I see you have decided to rejoin the living, Cackled a voice.
The boy turned his head and saw the old scholar sitting across the room intently watching him.
Sir, How long have I been here?.
You have been my guest for the last four days boy, I was beginning to think you were never going to come back to me.

MY FATHER, I must see My Father, Wildly exclaimed the boy.
The scholar rushed over and gently pushed the boy back into the bed.

I am truly sorry boy, but we buried your Father three days ago.
The boy sobbed and buried his face in his hands.
After what seemed like eternity he looked up and said, I will avenge my father.

Don’t be a fool! Exclaimed the scholar, What could you possibly do against that gang of cutthroats?

You wouldn’t last thirty seconds boy and you know I speak the truth.
Won’t anyone do anything? Cried out the boy, Isn’t there anybody that can stand up to this bunch?

Son, we are on a distant unimportant Planet.
Concord wouldn’t waste the manpower to file a report on this incident, Even if we notified them.

Is there none then who can help us, Help me avenge my fathers cruel death?

The scholar thought a few moments and said, There once was A organization called the Marshal’s But alas, That was a long time ago, I fear they have all died out.
All of them? Cried the boy, Surely there are a few left?

The scholar observed the frustration and sorrow on the boys face for several minutes before coming to his decision.

There is one I know of but he is ancient by our own standards and has taken the lifestyle of the holy monks, and would not help even if asked.

Tell me where he is! Cried out the boy, I must go and see him.
I will tell you boy but I warn you now your trip will be in vain.

He had walked for 6 weeks across the desert lands towards the distant mountains.
His head had healed but not in a kind way, The scar across his forehead a reminder of the sad ending to his normal life, But also a driving force in his desire to see his journey to its conclusion.

The mountain trails went upwards always, Never ceasing in their attempts to force him to go back the way he came.
The trees and brush and rocks stood defiantly in his way as if mocking him.

He refused to be swayed by their persuasions though and continued his struggle upwards.
After a week of constant climbing he was rewarded with the sight of the thick white stone walls the ancient monastery.

As he walked towards the gate a bell in a small tower began ringing steadily as if warding him to go back the way he came.
Go away go away! The bell seemed to cry to him in its intense hollow tones.

He proceeded to the huge wooden gate and grasping the iron knocker slammed it three times against the solid oak of the door.

A small wooden window slid open and a set of eyes peered at him sharply.
What do you want my child, The voice asked him through the window.
I have come to see Marshal Banister, The boy replied.

There is no Marshal Banister here boy, We are simple monks living a life of peace.

But I was TOLD he lived here the boy cried out.
Marshal Tom Banister.

Ahh you must mean Brother Thomas.
Wait here I will see if he will receive your visit.

After a eternity (to a boy anyways) ,There was the sound of clanking and a squealing iron lock being drawn back.

One half of the large doors opened and the boy was greeted by the sight of 3 monks standing with their hooded heads bowed and their hands clasped together in their long sleeves.

My child…..
I am sorry but Brother Thomas has refused your visit.
I am very sorry that your journey was for naught.

I MUST see him, Cried the boy, They have butchered my father in front of me, Taken woman from my town and did this to my face! He cried pointing to the scar.
We have no hope left to save us but the Marshal.

My Child, I am truly sorry but this is the decision of Brother Thomas.

The Marshals, Cried the boy, They are just a fairy tale!
They probably never even existed for real anyways.
He turned as the door closed, in total despair and defeat he started back the way he had come.

As he walked away he heard the gates re-open and a strong voice proclaimed.

I Promise You Boy that the Marshals were NOT a fairy tale.

We upheld the Law and Order in places that the almighty Concord couldn’t be bothered to go.

The boy slowly turned towards the strong steady voice and was shocked when he saw a hooded very small monk standing outside the gate looking at him.

YOU’RE A Marshal?
Aye boy I was a long time ago said the monk.
Don’t play games with me monk! You expect me to believe someone so small as you Was Really a Marshal?

Boy do you really think that size has anything to do with being a Marshal?
It doesn’t have a Damn THING to do with it!

It’s just that your claim is so hard to believe, I can’t believe what you say is true!
You want proof boy? Hand me your pistol and belt.

The boy complied by unstrapping his Fathers Gunbelt and Pistol and handing them to the very old monk.
The old weathered hands which looked like they were incapable of even squeezing a soft boiled egg, Deftly came to life as the old monk expertly and rapidly strapped on the gunbelt and tied it down.

Boy, Do you have a small coin?

I have a large copper 1/100th isk coin sir, Good said the monk as he turned around with his back to the boy, Toss the coin in the air.

The boy did what he was told and tossed the coin high into the air.
The monks motion was a blur of speed, surprising the boy with the quickness, The smoothness of it.

The monk spun and fired five shots in the blink of a eye.

The coin came down and the boy Uttered, You Missed!

Did I boy, Why don’t you go get the coin.
He did and when he picked it up, H was amazed to see four perfect groves nicked out of the edges of the coin almost like the main points of a compass and the perfect hole right through the center.

Do you believe me now son?
Yes I do Marshal I Really do now.
The boy was overjoyed with happiness, having found the savior of his town.
When can you leave Marshal?
Boy who said anything about me leaving, I have taken another oath one of the God’s, I cannot harm another being ever again.

The boy dropped to his knee’s in despair, What am I to do now, You were my only hope!

Boy, I said “I” cannot take another life ever again but I said nothing about the fact that I cannot train someone else to.

Are you willing to let me teach you the old ways of the Marshal’s?

The boy exclaimed, When do I begin?
Now said the Monk, this very second……………….

Several years had passed since the old scholar had last seen the young boy slowly fading into the desert.

Several years of pain and sorrow and immense suffering as the town was forced to give the pirates whatever they asked for.
Whenever they came to town it was the same old scenario.
They would take most of the coin and most of the Winters rations the town had worked so hard all summer to store.
And a few of the younger women would be whisked off to rooms to be violated much to the distress of their parents, then taken with the pirates when they left to be sold as slaves to the Amarr.

Today was no exception,
Having watched them arrive in town his heart sank and he inwardly cried in rage as they ****d and pillaged.

Is there no God’s he asked the heavens, Is there no justice anymore he said to himself as he looked into the desert.

As he gazed in despair he saw a small speck suddenly appear in the distant horizon.
Blinking and rubbing his eyes he again looked and noticed it was growing larger.
What is this? He wondered to himself.

Get moving you worthless dog, cried one of the pirates as he struck the old scholar, Why have you stopped loading the transport?
Has the sun baked your brain you old fool?

The scholar hardly heard the pirate nor felt his kick, He was much too fascinated by the shape growing larger as it drew closer to the town.
What are you looking at fool exclaimed the pirate.

Looking in the direction the scholar was the pirate noticed the shape in the distance and Yelled Boss theres someone riding in for the desert.

The Leader who was drinking alchohol and eating food like a barbarian rudely shoved the Ravaged town girl off of his lap and ran to where his man was standing and pointing into the distance.

What is that he asked with growing wonder?
Get all the boys out here now! He commanded his man.

20 minutes later the pirate gang stood in the street and watched as a Yong man rode up and stopped at the other end of the street.

He dismounted his lizard and slowly turned to face the evil gang.

Good day to you rider, greeted the pirate leader
What can we do for you here today.

The young man didn’t reply and the pirate leader grew angry, Who did this lone bastard think he was?

Ok enough of these games, I think I will be asking you to hand mover that fine lizard you have there and also anything of value.

Again only silence from the rider.

Rider Im a fair man, Ill give you one final warning and then I will order my men to take your things by force.

The strange rider swept back his Gallante style cape revealing 2 gold plated Auto-shock pistols.
If you think your men are brave enough to take my things let them go ahead and try the lone rider said.

Ok men take him commanded the pirate leader.

There was A stillness in the air, as it grew so quiet you could hear the earth drying in the heat.
Eyes locked with eyes and fingers twitched and flexed near pistol grips.
Finally one of the pirates uttered , Ohhh screw this and started to draw.
The riders shape transformed into the shape you see when a ship enters hyperspace a blur so fast that if you were to blink your eyes you would miss the action.
The sound of gunshots filled the still hot air and in the space of less then one second the Leaders men were sprawled on the ground the life gushing out of them.

Who are you he yelled panicked by the loss of his men.
Don’t you remember me said the lone rider with a smile as he started to walk towards the leader.
Don’t you remember this he said pointing to the scar on his face.

YOU! cried out the leader, I should have killed you just like I did your worthless father that day.

Well now you have your chance.

The two men stared and each other for what seemed like a millennium and then it was like a storm from the heavens, The Lone riders bullets riddled through the leaders body before he even had his pistol half drawn out of its holster.

The lone rider stopped and pulled out a Golden badge and pinned it to his chest. If one looked closely they could see the word Marshal stamped on it.

Why? How? The shocked leader moaned as the life poured out of him onto the street.
I thought all the Marshal’s were extinct he yelled.
How could you be one BOY?

He bent down and took his fathers tin star from the dying pirates belt.
He then stood up and said to the leader.
My names not Boy any longer the names Marshal Insane Angel.

And with this Statement the EVE Marshal’s were reborn from the ashes of the past………

Ok well one more thing...We continue the fight against the rats of EVE. Remember, there are many routes to victory against a foe, destroying their ships and pods is one, forcing them to do what they did not want to do is also a victory. So, continue to run, continue to slander, retribution is just around the conrner when you least expect it.

you may kill an individual or even a whole corp...but you cannot destroy a belief....

I was the fourth member to join the Marshals. As I can recall I do not recall a Fetty Chico. I have asked the first recruit to the original founder and he does not remember a Fetty Chico.

And as far as I can tell we are not extinct.
