I noticed the damage multipliers on weapons read as "1, 375 X" or "4 X".

How does this translate into game terms?

It takes that number and multiplies it by the damage on the ammunition to get the final damage of the weapon.

Take a Heavy Electron Blaster for example (item), its base damage modifier is 2.1x

Now, say its loaded with Antimatter M (item), it does 14 kinetic and 10 thermal damage, which is then increased by the damage modifier of your weapon.

So, for example, 24 base damage (14+10 from the two damage types) multiplied by 2.1x (the damage multiplier) would give you 50.4 damage on a normal hit. Now, with your skills, it might get up to say 5x or 6x, which would change your damage to say 120 or 144 damage a shot.

This could also be useful if you're wondering more about turrets in general: Guide

Ok, so is the comma in the damage multilpier supposed to be a decimal point?
