Vremaja Idama, a self described Warrior-Philosopher and also a recognized mystic of the Intaki People.

Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
CometQueen> Greetings Vremaja Idama, thank you for seeking me out for an interview, your positive reaction of my Media efforts is most appreciated.
CometQueen> Rather than re-hash already stated issues such as your inter-racial marriage and your resignation from the University of Caille I’d like to delve into a few hot button issues.
CometQueen> Mordu’s Legion claims to have a contract on your life. Any thoughts as to who the perpetrator behind these actions are? Why you have been targeted for assassination?

Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
Vremaja Idama> I have no thoughts about who would want me dead. After considering it for some time the only
conclusions i can come up with would be someone who profits from the current situation in Placid.

Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
CometQueen> My searches revealed that On 18/05/2006 21:30:10 an Intkai Union member wrote this:

”have a safe trip, I do suggest you travel with an escort since there were death threats made against you. and no I wasn't one of them.”

And then the very next day, 19/05/2006 (as reported by Jon Engel of Kimotoro Directive), you were attacked by the Mordu’s Legion while on rout to Intaki V. care to comment on this connection?

Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
Vremaja Idama> Although the member in question (Tomahawk Bliss) is somewhat blunt is his approach, i would not consider him to stoop to the hiring of assassins. If he had a gripe he would do the job himself.

Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
CometQueen> The main issue of course is Intaki Separatism. You have been quoted many times saying (and pardon the paraphrase) that the Intaki would do best to stay within the Federation. For posterity can you affirm is this is indeed your stance?

Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
Vremaja Idama> It is indeed my stance. The Intaki were one of the founders of the Federation. We Intaki do not have our own police, navy, administration or other infrastructure required for a true state.
Vremaja Idama>I also believe that the Federation, government style and multicultural makeup are the best way forward for humanity as a whole. Freedom, equality, and support of those unable to defend themselves - these
are all vitally important, and very rare in the New Eden Cluster.

Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
CometQueen> It has been suggested that not all Idama agree, but there has been no independent confirmation. So I ask you, are all Idama of the mind that Intaki Separatism is the wrong path? Is there any dissention in the ranks?

Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
Vremaja Idama> An Idama is much like one who has been Reborn. There is no "Idama society" or club. We are not
a political group. Each Idama is free to have their own opinions. I am sure if you asked all 500 of us,
you would receive 500 different answers. But all would be variations on a theme - whatever path is
taken, it must provide the most good and the lest suffering possible.

CometQueen> On the Intaki Union Public Forums there was a conversation quoted in part where you state
“[2006.05.06 20:58:26 ] Vremaja Idama > It would be an honour to receive communications from you with what would appeal the Directive to have presence in Placid as well, to further strengthening our bonds as neighbors.”

*The Directive being Kimotoro Directive one of the most notable Caldari Pod Factions. Similar in stature to the like of the Omerta Sydicate, Drink Starsis, the lamented Big Bang Burger and of course Pojo’s private terrorist organization named after a mythical bird.

CometQueen> Read bluntly this appears to be an appeal for Caldari Paramilitaries to move their operation into the Placid Region.

*Kimotoro Directive Mandate reads as follows:
“An organization created as a power base for Caldari
corporations with the goal of serving and arming the
Caldari State, loyal to the Chief Executive Panel.”

CometQueen> On the Intergalatic summit though you (Vremaja) have been quoted as saying

"As i have said before, i believe that the best road to prosperity for the Intaki people as a whole is within the Federation“

CometQueen> As an outsider it seems to me that inviting a paramilitary force into the Federation is more conducive to a Separatist movement rather than a consolatory action. Indeed other independent outsiders to the conflict posted this exact though on the Intergalactic Summit. Any Comments?

Vremaja Idama> The region of Placid is plagued by pirates. There are not enough combat capable pilots to patrol the
region. The Kimotoro Directive was invited to send a number of pilots to assist in this task. The Caldari
race were once members of this Federation, and there are still strong ties between the Intaki and
Caldari people. I believe that any co-operation between our people will only help reduce tensions
between the Federation and State.

Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
CometQueen> Was there Federation approval for the insurgence of this Caldari loyalist alliance?

Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
Vremaja Idama> The Federation has open borders. Anyone may come to visit.

Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
CometQueen> What was the motivation behind moving specifically the Kimotoro Directive into the Placid Region?

Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
Vremaja Idama> To increase the security of the region. Perhaps soon there will be enough Federation pilots
involved so that the Kimotoro pilots will be able to return home. But they will always be welcome and
warmly thanked for their assistance.

CometQueen> do you feel Kimotoro stabilized the conflict between Placid Reborn and Intaki Union? Was that part of your plan?

Vremaja Idama> I do not believe the two incidents were related.

CometQueen> You appear to have a good relationship with Krysalis Industries. My searched have revealed at least three specific instances where you either directly contacted them or responded to a personal plea. As a point of fact this issue has specifically come up through argumentative commentary between the various Intaki groups on the Intergalactic Summit and other private media outlets. Care to comment?

Vremaja Idama> The members of Krysalis Industries are easy to contact. They are often sharing the same comms
channels, and work in the same regions that i live in. They contacted me initially, and I was happy to
respond. But i also have very good relations with other groups, including some "mercenary" pilots or
"criminal" pilots. I value all people and deal with them as individuals.

CometQueen> As a side note, and thank you for indulging me, what are your views of God? It seems as though the Intaki follow a heathen path called Ida that appears to be some sort of primitive religion, is this so? And is there hope for your people to accept God?

Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
Vremaja Idama> The Amarr religion is a fascinating one. The belief in a higher power is strongly comforting to many
people, and I strongly support those who voluntarily take up the belief. It is up to the individual.

I’d like to add an Editorial Commentary here and it bares no direct relevance to the struggles of the Intaki People but is merely an opinion I have formed based on the limited interaction so far, and as this is my media work I feel entitled to occasionally post a personal viewpoint now and again.

What I find terribly interesting about this interview is the conclusion that the Idama do indeed walk different paths, as Phantomas (CEO of Intaki Union) specifically stated in our interview some seven days ago. The only qualifications of an Idama’s philosophy is to “provide the most good and the least suffering possible.” It then of course falls to the leaders of each movement to decide what is the “least suffering possible” for the “most good”. In essence it is a truth of this primitive path that some suffering must happen, but the good must out weight it.

I am not a mystical heathen personally, but I would venture to guess that the minds of the two dynamos of the Placid (Jalia Kovac) and Intaki (Phantomas) Movements would conflict on the point of the Federation.

One side would believe the Intaki’s “most good” equates to staying within the confines of the Federation, with perhaps the “suffering” of a hostile future Administration or at the very least a large apathetic Democracy that is as ponderingly inefficient as it is unenlightened.

The other side would most likely feel that the Intaki’s “most good” would be freedom from the Federation’s clearly documented corruption and potentially racist future administration for the “suffering” of civil war. Nations have been build on this ideology and I suppose it is up to the individual pod-pilot to decide based on what path these two dynamos follow when submitting an application.

Perhaps Placid Coalition and Intaki Union will be able to disagree with out conflict as the Idamas do, perhaps not.

More to come.

As an endnote this was going to be displayed on Eve-Guardian only but a peer pointed out that it might cause cries of favoritism depending on how one interprets this message from Vremaja and complain that I might have been trying to “hide” it off of the summit are the last thing I want to hear. Of course I would never hide foreign interest in God, so here it is equal with every work so far.

I can confirm that Placid Reborn has been in contact with the Caldari Independant Navy Reserve for some time now, predating the inception of both the Kimotoro Directive and indeed INTAKI UNION.

On a personal note, I have been working alongside Mr. Ladel Teravada in fighting piracy in Placid. The leader of the Directive's Placid detachment, he has been a most effective ally.

I thank you for the kind words, Ms. Kovac. I have had great pleasure in flying wing with such outstanding members of the podcommunity as yourself and our allies. It is not every day that one gets a chance to learn and practice anti-piracy at the side of some of the Clusters best antipirates.

I would also like to confirm what stood above. Caldari Independent Navy Reserve has on numerous occasions had intimate contact with Placid Reborn and it's friends. Among many noteworthy times, Placid Reborn members and CAIN members flew side by side during the Reschard Convoy.

There appears to be a discrepancy. I thought Nikolai Nuvolari was head of the Caldari presence in Placid, as in the official press release of Kimotoro Directive here. Was Nuvolari recalled?

Probably a simple change in priorities or personnel. That's not to say that Mr. Nuvolari hasn't been in Placid - I saw him in Agoze just yesterday.

I believe he had pressing issues planetside to deal with, however I myself have been planetside these last few days as well so I am not completely certain.

A few weeks ago I left Placid to deal with a different operation. I chose Ladel Teravada to assume command of the Placid detachment due to his excellent combat and leadership capabilites. I've been quite impressed with him.

Another great article. I must say miss Queen, you shed a new and clearer light on interstellar politics.
