This is a press release on behalf of the Vremaja Idama by Krysalis Industries.

Today, representatives from Krysalis Industries were contacted by Vremaja Idama, a spiritual leader of the Intaki people. As many of you know, the Idama was recently escorted to Intaki V by a large fleet of ships containing members of Kimotoro Directive, Placid Reborn, Krysalis Industries and other sympathetic groups. The Idama reached Intaki V succesfully, despite an attempt on his life by the forces of Mordu's Legion.

The Idama informed us that, while his work on Intaki is proceeding well, he has been told many terrible stories of Slaver ships stealing Intaki people and isolated Pirate groups pillaging and looting isolated pockets of the planet. He also went on to discuss the recent publicity surrounding the actions of extremist Intaki seperatist groups who have done much to bring, some might say unwanted, focus upon Placid as of late.

"It is the "extremists" as you say who are the first to flock to any banner held high" the Idama said.

We discussed at length the future for the Placid region and the Intaki people as a whole. Once again he expressed his desire for the Intaki to remain as part of the Federation.

"As i have said before, i believe that the best road to prosperity for the Intaki people as a whole is within the Federation. Standing alone, we would be a very small fish in a very large pond. We dont have the advantage of many years of military build up that the Caldari had at the time of their breakaway, The Intaki of Placid do not even have a standing navy. The Caldari, for all their good qualities, are quite bound by their own culture, and do not take readily to outsiders within their borders. The Minmatar Republic can barely retain its own people who flock to the Federation, and the Amarr. I wont even start on how they would treat us" he continued.

The Idama then expressed a desire to bring together all those who hold an interest in the future security and prosperity of the Placid region;

"I need to know who would come should i call... I need to know what others are concerned about the welfare of the Intaki people, the placid region and what allies we may call upon."

He has asked Krysalis to relay a message to the wider community that he wishes for a Summit between all who are connected to the Placid movement to discuss the future and decide upon the best course of action in the coming struggles.

The meeting will be held on a communication frequency set up by the Idama himself. Can all delegations connect to the channel 'Eutopia' (Meaning 'The Good Place') at 21.00 EVE Standard Time this Friday.

We ask that all delegations respect each other and this does not turn into a mass argument or excercise in oneupmanship. This Summit is an attempt to bring people closer together and decide where we go, not act as a platform for people to attack each other.

Please contact either myself or Maxell Snow if you wish any further information.

Vremaja Idama, the spiritual leader of the Intaki people

Should read:
Quote:
Vremaja Idama, a spiritual leader of the Intaki people

The respected Vremaja Idama has come to prominence recently, but that does not make him the only spiritual leader of the Intaki people.

Kitty, your point has been noted and the release has been amended to reflect this.

By way of response, I would ask you to name one other spiritual leader of the Intaki people? Of course there are other spiritual figures in Intaki society, but who among them could claim to have displayed any leadership?

Jacq, as my ties to Placid are negligble at best these days, I cannot name any planet-side Idamas. But even the travesty which passes for news these days has recognized that are other Idamas.

PS: Thank you for the edit.

Mr Jinn'meh, while it is a massive compliment for someone to suppose that one of the Intaki Reborn who is over half a century old is 'in the pocket' of a relatively minor, Gallentean fronted Industrial Corporation, I believe the compliment is hardly merited.

The Idama asked us for help and we responded.

Kitty, I understand the distinction, while there are certainly other Idama, I believe there are few who have been such an inspiration and leader to the Intaki people.

thank you.

My apologies if our press release was unclear. The Idama has called and will be chairing this summit.

We are simply the messengers, he stated an inability to regularly visit Galnet and asked us if we could relay this message.

Just to clear up, this is all under the Idama's direction, the meeting will have nothing to do with Krysalis whatsoever. It will be a neutral forum for discussion.

To reiterate what Jacq has already mentioned, the Idama did not contact us. Both Jacq and I frequently monitor Placid Rebornís public comm. channel as we are both former members. The Idama joined said channel and was speaking to all in attendance, not just us. We gladly offered our help as we would anyone else needing it. No Placid Reborn members nor any Intaki Union members were connected to the frequency at the time.

I would be happy to forward you any communications logs if that will quell this conspiracy theory.

Hmm, it's upsetting that the Idama thinks the Caldari 'culture' wouldn't be welcoming to the Intaki. A hard-working people can expect to find a place in the State.

Hello Jacq,

Unfortunatley, I will be unable to attend this conclave. I have other matters to attend during this particular period of time. I shall mention the event within the movement, and see if any are interested.

My only concern is that this meeting without clearly defined objectives, will achieve nothing. When it comes to our concern for the Placid Region, the two groups have a very different approach... and that will not be changed on the word of just one Idama.

If none of my pilots are in attendance, do ask him if something has been ailing him.

That is a shame Phantomas, I was rather hoping such a Summit would serve to erase some of the bad blood that has existed between us recently.

We will send you a postscript of all that is discussed and give you a chance to add your opinions and suggestions.

I will be representing the Kimotoro Directive during the Summit as Assistant Director of Foreign Relations and Commanding Officer of the Directive's Placid Detachment.

I hope and trust that this summit will be one without old hatreds and grudges and instead a chance to once again carry the prosperity of the Intaki people in mind.

I'll be there as well, of course. As I've been critisized due to my employment in these circles, perhaps denoting some sense of lack of loyalty according to my detractors, know that my voice still speaks in the interests of the Intaki Syndicate.

I suppose I have caused enough trouble for this to warrant my attendence. I am not due to depart for several more days.

I guess I'll be the Representative For Solism . . . as always.

While my corp does not have a vested interest in this event, I will attend as I have some business relations in Northern Placid region.
