I recently podded an unfortuneate soul in the Syndicate region. I took no sec hit. I thought this path was enforcing any hostile action against an "innocent" would result in a sec loss? What gives?

Since patch, killing a POD anywhere results in a security hit.

That is exactly what I was trying to tell you. I killed someone in syndicate last night (ive got his frozen corpse even) and I took NO SEC HIT. Has anyone else had buggy results?

Territorial Owernship of Corps

Security drops for attacking players were removed from non-Empire space a long time ago when corporations were not able to fight spies bookmarking areas around them to plan attacks. Pirates have because of this been growing their security status and are starting to hide behind their security status as criminals. As player owned bases will be introduced this will continue being a problem where players would not be able to defend systems around their bases when spies are about to keep them hidden from full force attack groups, to counter this problem we have decided that we will be looking into allowing corporations to truly control solar systems around their bases by building up their territory. By controlling solar systems corporations would be able to attack any non corporate members with out CONCORD considering it as a crime, as the players will be warned entering these systems.
