Occasionally (about 20% of the time), when I warp into a spot which has a hostile target, my computer crashes and shuts down. Not just the game, my PC turns off. Its happened about 10 times. Always when there is a hostile target. I'm sure you can imagine the problems this causes in PVP.
Has anyone had this before? Is it fixable?

I had this happen to my computer a few weeks ago, the problem was that my graphics card overheated so once i moved my computer away from my smothering hot radiator it stopped shutting down like that.

My PC doing the same...

All PC just reboot...

You guys have ATI cards?? because I have the feeling this newest ATI driver doing the problem. My friend installed it, and his PC just done the same.

I think this is not realy related to EVE, it happen to me in other 3D games as well.. it's quite random.

After teh PC reboot windows send out a crash report, and what it say is "unknown_driver" couse some probelm on a "insert **** long memory adress here"...

If you both have ATI cards with the newest, or teh driver before that... I think I can clearly say that this is te problem... (I will install an earlyer one) Wink

I've had a variation of this, most likely caused by heat. Suddenly, the computer reboots. And I have an nVidia card, so it might be a different issue entirely. I've disabled rebooting on BSOD, so it's not that.

Yeah looks like its familiar to my prob also. I have an nvidia 6600 gt agp from msi i believe and there was a problem with these cards from factory where they end up overheating. I've had that prob with need for speed when lots of action was going on and when it crashed, i imediately touched the vid card's heatsink and it was burning hot, probably around 100C or near....
