Over the weekend I was playing with my computer. I have the ATI AIW Radeon 9700 Pro, which enables me to output to a television via a RCA composite connector. I was thinking I could record ingame action by plugging in a VCR in between the computer and televsion. However, this did not work since I could not see any onscreen action. I was only able to see the VCR displays and was wondering if anybody has been able to setup a way to record ingame action. I would like to make a nice movie someday.

Try connedcting your video card to your VCR then your VCr to your Tv. should work, just experiment. I've recored game footage off a PS2 by doing what I said. may work.

Well, I was able to split the signal coming out of my computer and sending it to the VCR and TV simulatneously. I was able to watch what I was doing on the TV and it did record. However, there were a number of problems. First, the recorded image is of poor resolution. Because the output was for a NTSC signal, I was unble to get high res video. Secondly, when I drag the windowed screen of EVE on to TV display, the video is sooooo laggy and choppy. Has anyone found a way to go about doing this?

Download fraps

Then you just push a button on the keyboard and the program startig to record what you now have on you screen like eve for exemple.

and the program record your recorded file to avi.

Yeah, download fraps, but beware, i have a radeon 9000 sportsversion ;) and if i'm recording i have 12-1 frames per second. fraps is easy to use, it records all games that are using open gl ( so why is eve supportet??? ) it records what you "see" on your screen and saves it as a avi-file (they are not less) u can buy it, download the trailversion ore ask your emule/edonkey Smile

Also supports DirectX.

I can highly recommend FRAPS (www.fraps.com) and I can also recommmend getting the full version as it is very nice and definately worth it.
