Well its already been bought in all over the UK for quite some time now, im against this kind of thing though, all dogs have the potential to be killers, a pitbull is no more dangerous than any other dog if looked after properly, exterminate all bad owners not dogs i say.

That is just sadSad. Is ther some way to get arround it?
over here in Germany dogs of certain breeds have to wear a muzzle by law, but you can get arround it by attending a test with your dog to prove that its not dangerous.

Its a sad state when goverments quit to solve the real trouble where it lies in breeders breading certain dogs to fight or be viscious in nature

There are ways around it and can be solved but goverments dont look at Animals in the big picture so killing is a easy close a case option

Goverments need ticks on there list to show there doing something and make easy ways out. This is one. Its already happend in the UK like one has mentioned. I hate cruelty. Good luck m8

Typical overreaction by political processes that need to be seen to be taking measures in the public interest in the face of public opinion swelled by the media.

There was a similar carry-on about Rottweillers in the UK a few years ago. As soon as it is no longer a headline story, a proper political process will simply forget about it.

My prediction:
Some half-assed policy will come out and people will complain that it isn't enough.
Then it will go away.

It's impossible to prove a dog is not dangerous. A dog IS dangerous; it can kill a child with one bite. You can only prove that, on the particular day you take it to the test, it didn't feel like biting anyone. That says nothing about what it'll feel like doing the next day; I've known rottweilers that were happy family members for over five years before one day deciding to turn on the little toddler and bite his arm clean off.

Which said, compulsory extermination is way over the top. All that's needed is to enforce the wearing of a muzzle in public.

The same can be said about any animal i.e. a horse, you could have a friendly loving horse for years but one day it could turn and kick your head off, shall we start strapping horses legs together or exterminating them? muzzling isnt needed, just a good collar and leed so it cant get loose and no letting it off leed in public.

I hate pit bulls.

There's a reason why most sane people don't keep Wolves as pets.

Not a big stretch.

Anyways, You shouldn't do political based threads, they make the poor moderators twitch.
