But it doesn't start at the beginning. It skips over the pilot episodes and goes straight into "33" which is silly. The pilots were the best episodes.

Season One should include the Miniseries. You don't need to buy it separately.

Bought mine for $35 on sale, in fact, I'm showing it to a friend Right Now! Definatly a good buy.

yeah, well worth getting Marine, i picked up the first season and the mini series pretty cheap, and its one of hte best buys i've got. BLoody marvellous stuff from start to finish, after watching hte first episodes on DVD make sure you got hte rest of the day free, cos you'll just HAVE to watch the rest of them. Compulsive viewing mate.

Some good stuff!

You will not be disapointed in the first season and it's a nice medium to see how the writters and actors progressed.

1st season box set includes miniseries and all 13 eps.

2nd season is out in 2 sets: 2.0 has everything up to "Pegasus", while 2.5 shells out the rest of season 2.

In my own opinion though, 1st season is better...2nd kinda just drones on and on and on and the season finale ("Lay Down Your Burdans Pt II") kinda killed the series for me...I'm abit hesitant about season 3.

If you are purchasing in the UK, then we tend to buy by 'series' rather than 'season' which makes no sence regards television series which often span 2 seasons at a time.

In the UK Series 1 was sold as episodes 1-13, not including the miniseries (NB not miniseason).
A new variant may have been prepared to include the Miniseries, I've yet to find it, but the Miniseries can be bought separately.
Series 2 has not reached its UK finalae yet, and thus no DVD boxset has been prepared for it.

Have Faith mate! Very Happy

I'm sure RDM and DE will sort it out. remember the original only ran for 1 whole season, and after 2 Season of BSG hopping, guerilla warfaring, more hopping, there's only so many places you can take it.

It should rock, and this is the perfect platform start too see Baltar turn full on to the Darkside. damn, i want season 3 now Mad

Do yourself a favor and buy Season 2 if you buy 1. The cliffhanger will drive you crazy if you can't find out what happens right away.

And definitely get the miniseries if it's not included in Season/Series 1. It's the best of all of them.

You can indeed only take that story only so far--i agree. What was the "jump the shark" moment for me (and my poor stance on upcoming season 3) is just how completely out of character everyone was; just how much the fleet fell apart.

Yes people change, but not this quickly without some more backstory; not enough for me to believe in the 15-20 some minutes of "One Year Later" to believe just what the hell happened with everybody.
