The ISS Navy is the 0.0 based corporate security unit of the Interstellar Starbase Syndicate alliance.
The unit conducts offensive and defensive PvP operations both reactively in support of the ISS, and proactively against our enemies.
The ISS is a Top 5 alliance of some 1300 members - both a doorway for empire corporations into 0.0 space, and a driving force in the colonization of deep space. The alliance has built and maintains a number public outposts in Eve (a total of 7 will have been constructed or managed by May 06). ISS is a civilian alliance and aims to remain neutral in inter-alliance politics in Eve.
It is the goal of the ISS Navy to protect the core assets of the ISS (the outposts) and the spacelanes leading to them. The ISS is targetted by a number of pirates and PvP organisations who remain KOS to the ISS Navy at all times.
The ISSN has changed dramatically in recent months. As we currently approach 200 members, a healthy mix of veteran and newer PvPers, we are redefining the scope of our strategic capabilities and planning for the next phase in our expansion. Joining us now means joining us at a crucial stage in the growth of both our organisation, and the alliance we support. The sense of achievement in PvPing for such a worthy cause cannot be understated.
We look for the following in our combat pilots:
* Professionalism, maturity, and repsect for your fellow pilots * For PvP rookies - 3 months in-game, and at least some experience of lowsec/0.0 PvP * For PvP veterans - an ability to respect our rules of engagement (not too difficult - if its red you can shoot it) * Potential gang leaders and future fleet commanders (not essential, but the more we have the better) * Voice communication using Ventrilo is compulsory * A desire to fight, learn, kill, and be killed - PvP is what we are all about * We're not interested in job-hoppers who change corp every few weeks, and your standings must reflect the fact you are an active player
We offer the following benefits:
* Free T1 ships up to and including battleships (for ISSN PvP use) * All T1 and a limited selection of T2 modules - free * 150 person voice server (Ventrilo) * PvP: Gang warfare, suicide ops, fleet, escort and camping operations * Access to ISS/ISSN forums * Free docking, repair, jump clones, manufacturing, and research at ISS outposts * A long and healthy KOS list meaning no shortage of targets * Active across all time zones
You may be a PvP rookie, a pirate, an anti-pirate, an experienced 0.0 PvPers, a carebear... it doesn't matter. What matters, is that you want to spend your time PvPing for a worthy cause. You don't want to worry about how you are going to afford the next ship you lose in PVP, and you want to operate out of 0.0 space 23/7. If that rings true, then consider us. We might well be the perfect home for you.
Apply at our empire office in Agil, or alternatively at our primary base of operations in KDF-GY.
Questions regarding the ISSN can either be posted below, or alternatively join our public in-game recruitment channel 'ISSN Rec'.
We look forward to welcoming you on board.
Update: Membership goal reached. Public recruitment closing shortly - apply while you can. After this, the only way to gain entry to ISSN is a recommendation from a current member, until our next recruitment drive in June.

Edited by: Ahop Yol on 29/03/2006 22:40:37This all seems too good to be true... What do you actually expect from your members if you are basically giving away ships and modules for corp pvp operations? I'll have a piece of that and shoot whoever you want me to if you are going to pay for all my ships... |

Well, I thinks its fair to say we really look after our members. We value the contribution they make to protecting the ISS and PvPing for us.
But equally, we don't just hand out Battleships in a free for all. There are eligibility requirements (activity levels, skills, length of service etc) which need to be met, but they are very reasonable. And they are corp ships - you can't NPC in them, you can't take them to empire.
Most of our members also have their own personal ships for the times they are not PvPing for us. Others prefer to buy their own ships and use them for both personal and ISSN PvP use - if they lose the ship fighting for us, we'll cover 100% of their insurance cost.

I don't know of many other pvp corps out there that give you a big KOS list and the ships to shoot them with. Very fun corp with a lot of people, and more importantly, a lot of fun. |

Edited by: Empyre on 31/03/2006 01:04:54Do you guys provide escort for someone with tons of assets in empire to 0.0? Or do you prefer new hires leave everything behind and take up the cause? Also, what is expected in terms of time/participation? I'm planning to give all the time I possibly can to the alliance I ultimately join, but still would like a portion of my time to jump clone back to empire space and work some NPCs for a bit of spending money.. http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=316905^^^ my info. |

I'm guessing these questions have been answered for you as you are now with us :) You're very welcome to ship down your stuff to KDF and use it as a primary base of operations. We actively encourage this. There will be times when you don't want a corp ship, or times when the production lines at marginis are so busy we can't produce ships quickly enough to keep up with demand (though this will be completely resolved with the imminent construction of our new factory outpost) I personally keep 3 AF's, 3 BC's, and 3 BS's in KDF which are personal ships. The ISSN cover my insurance costs if I lose them in PvP, and I also use corp ships when I am on pure PvP ops. You get more freedom in personal ships so its down to personal preference - corp ships come with restrictions after all (ie they are PvP only). |

Flying with ISSN has been the most exciting times I've had in EVE. It has a great group of people and it's for a great cause. Along with free ships to pvp in, it's like winning Eve!

Our recruiting continues to prove very successful in attracting a broad range of PvPers.
We look forward to welcoming more combat pilots on board. Apply at our empire office in Agil, or our primary base of operations in KDF-GY.
We'll take things forward from there :)

No April's Fool joke here, I am interested. Have seen the ISS flag around and was intrigued by the prospect of being in the corp. Still in my 14-day trial period but will pay for the game soon. As you can expect, I'm a newbie to this game and generally don't pvp much in other MMORPGs I have played as well. But I am very interested in learning how to do so, and backed by such a large company and large PvP knowledge base, I know that I could learn how to do so competently (:
Btw, I work a lot and would list myself a casual gamer during the week, but can play a lot during the weekend (if RL and/or work does not interfere).
This is the only character I have and plan to develop her through level 5 and beyond. She's flying a Rifter currently and has about 170k SP.
Thanks for reading! |

Bump back to the top! Great group of people to fly with here... and there are many seasoned PvPers and skilled gang leaders in the corp to observe and/or pick their brains. Glad I made the switch to 0.0 space |
