So I just got into my newest toy, a Sleipnir, and I remembered a post way back when about what percentage of your SP are actually going into the setups you use for combat. I sat down, and did the math with the fitting I have setup now, not including stuff I COULD be using on the ship at the moment, and came up with an effeciency of 75%--i.e. 75% of all my sp actually do something to either let me fly this thing, fit the equipment I have fitted, or use the equipment better. I thought that was a pretty good number. Anybody any better than this with at least 10m SP? BTW, It's 12.3m sp out of 16.4m total sp that I have total.

When I PVP, I most use a Harpy these days, that's (8,875,564/22,027,875) or 40% of my total SP being put to use.
When I NPC, I pretty much only use a Raven, that's (10,371,716/22,027,875) or 47% of my total SP being put to use.

Okay-ish, but could be better I guess; considering that I can fly all t1 ships except for indies and barges and fit them all decently though, I guess I treated maximum versatility for maximum efficiency, works nicely for me.

I would only count the skills that actually effect the ship. So if you're flying a Deimos for instance, I'd use Mechanic, Engineering and Cruiser V, but not Frig IV/V or Assault Ships IV, because they don't give you any bonuses.

Direct is accurate, indirect isn't.

Given that Frigate level IV is needed for Cruiser V, which is needed for a HAC, I would count the frigate simply because it is a requirement. My current fitting doesn't have any missle launchers, so I left all the launch skills out. I don't have any autocannons on, so I also left out the AC specilization skills, although I COULD probably fit enough random crap on the ship so I would be as high as 90%, but the fitting would suck. No, I can't fly many other race's ships... ;)
