The ISS Navy [ISSN] is the corporate security branch of the Interstellar Starbase Syndicate [ISS]. The unit conducts offensive and defensive anti-pirate operations in support of the ISS.

The ISS is both a doorway for empire corporations into 0.0 space, and a driving force in the colonization of deep space. The alliance have built and maintains two public outposts in Eve, one in Pure Blind and one in Catch, in addition to numerous starbases. ISS is a strictly civilian organisation and struggles daily to remain neutral in inter-alliance politics in Eve.

Join a small corporate security unit in the defense and policing of the two public ISS outposts, Marginis and Borealis and the spacelanes leading to them.

Only serious applicants need apply. We will not pretend to be something we are not: Pirates more frequently than not outnumber and outgun us. It can be demoralizing. But if you like tough odds, good camaraderie, the chance to be at the forefront of one of the most ambitious projects in virtual worlds today and you enjoy the rush of player versus player combat, join us.

Here’s what they said about the ISS in Escapist Magazine (Dec 05):

“Despite - or perhaps because of - the fact that no real-world money is changing hands here, Interstellar Starbase Syndicate's outpost IPO is the most important economic event to have happened in a virtual world in 2005… Now, ISS sees the opportunity to spark a similar economic development in an area that's not yet securely under any one alliance's control. If their venture succeeds, it could change the face of the metaverse, not just in EVE, but wherever avatars look on and trust that yes, these things are possible.”

Any room for another willing and dedicated newbie? i played EvE few years ago in beta but didn't have time to play due to my collage studies.. now when i'm finished with collage i've got plenty of time.

as I mentioned i am dedicated and willing to fight against the odds. I learn pretty quickly and you won't have me begging for help every 5 seconds or asking to borrow money. i make my own way and i stay true to the cause. PLS contact me in game with your answer, even if negative, just so that i can be sure that i fit7don't fit in your navy.

Best Regards
Steve Dark

In fact, as locals of ISS Marginis, you can call on any Archon for assistance.

We too have an interest in your success :)

I think guys have the best opponents come to their door as all the local pirates come and try and have a go at ISS Marginis. So you have if I remember from the other post free ships and enemies who come to your doorstep, what more could a pvper want?

Hans is right...

For PvP, the T1 ships are free, the modules are all free (even some T2 items, you can imagine my suprise when I asked a fleet commander for a thorax setup and got a handful of T2 mods Shocked), and we have a lot of targets.

Its not easy, we're often outnumbered, but you actually feel like you're PvPing for a worthy cause and thats a difficult thing to find in EVE.

Oh, and did I mention we have a growing fleet of Capital Ships :)

Corporations within the ISS can and do give very appreciable discounts to ISSN members. Its down to them, goodwill prevails. Don't forget we are the largest industrial alliance in EVE :)

Looking in the internal market, I see an offer of Astartes for ISSN members at 125m Shocked

a somewhat hungover reminder that free ships (frigs, cruisers, BC's, BS's), modules, and plenty of targets await PvPers in KDF

Very nice Corporation. Just wanted to send all respect :). Does the Navy need Couriers? Im usually on my NASA 2010 character and currently in a somewhat inactive Corp.
Thanks,

The Navy don't employ couriers directly, that would be handled by ISS Logistics or other industrial organisations within the ISS.

If you would like to be a part of the ISS but PvP is not your thing, you can visit our public forums at www.eve-iss.com and ISS member organisations can then get in touch.

For the ISSN, we're just looking for PvPers :)
