What Is Hadean Drive Yards??

Hadean Drive Yards (HDY) is one of the oldest Corporations within the EVE universe. For over three years, HDY has reigned as the oldest specialized production Corporation within the game of EVE. Argueably, Hadean Drive Yards may have even been the original specialized ship production Corporation within the world of EVE. Some of you veterans remember the name HDY; for those of you who may have heard of us, but aren't exactly sure what we do, read on...

What Sort of People Make Up HDY?

Hadean Drive Yards has always prided itself upon its ability to attract the mature and sophisticated gamer. Our employees are usually the more technologically oriented style of player...No knuckle draggers here (except, of course, for the CEO). Our members have included some of the qualified players in the EVE Universe within their chosen fields, from veteran combat pilots to logistical gurus. This proud tradition continues even today. Our interview and screening process doesn't stop just because you hear the words "Welcome to the Drive Yards"...every member is always changing, evolving, and adapting to changing conditions within EVE. Regardless of your specialzation, you can find a home at HDY.

What Is HDY Looking For?

We're currently looking to fill several positions...

Research and Development Specialists: We seek those who seek technology. If you know your way around research and development agents in regards to Starship technology, then you are the kind of person we are looking for. If you are most happy running around doing your thing with your agent contacts, then you are also the person we look for. If you like to work on your social skills, as opposed to your guns and ammo skills, then you, too, are the type of person we are looking for.

Agent Relations Personnel: Similar to the Research and Development Specialts in role. We look for people who like to increase their wealth and faction standing with the various agent networks within EVE. Often times, this role is overlooked, even discouraged as a time-sink by many Corporations within EVE. However, in HDY, we value these people as much as we do our engineers, technicians and combat soldiers. If you like nothing more than the challenge of LVL 3 and LVL 4 agent missions, then you are also the kind of person we look for.

Combat Specialists: Thats right folks...Just because HDY is a dedicated ship building Corporation, it does not mean we do not have our share of combat requirements. Within our Military Division (MilDiv), one may choose from a variety of roles, including Combat Air Patrol (CAP), NPC Rat Hunting/Farming, Special Operations and Intelligence, Escort, Search and Recovery (SAR), as well as several other facets of a Combat Specialist's duty. Most often, you might be called upon to fulfill multiple combat roles, depending on the situation. If you are one of those pilots who likes to see how fast he can return a ship to it's component molecules and minerals, and if your idea of the perfect recycling method is to blast it with your railgun or laser turret until crispy and golden brown...then you're the kind of person we're looking for. NOTE: PvP is on an "as required" basis. HDY is not an active PvP Corporation, however, we WILL vigorously defend ourselves when necessary.

Ore Extraction Specialists: No production Corporation can survive and excel without the aid of her raw materials specialists. HDY is no different. Regardless of your assigned role within the Corporation, all pilots are asked (and expected) to aid in the duty of mineral extraction. Some pilots are more suited to the task than others and some of you even love to chew rocks. HDY takes pride in being able to obliterate entire asteroid belts within a few hours time, and systems in under a day. If your idea of a blissful evening is harvesting an entire system's mineral resources like a one-man plague of locusts, you are exactly the type of person that HDY looks for.

So why join Hadean Drive Yards?

HDY's reputation wasn't built overnight, as it took months, even years, of constant analysis and evolution to get to where we are today. Many times since our inception, our roster was culled due to attrition, lack of interest in the EVE universe, and sometimes, due lack of the aforementioned principles. Regardless of what has come before, we are constantly analyzing, evaluating, and tweaking our processes and policies to ensure that we offer the best possible service to our clients and to our business associates.

Our members enjoy a sense of purpose and teamwork that many larger scale Corporations simply cannot offer. In return for their loyalty and teamwork, they receive the financial support and committment of the Corporation, and the friendship (sometimes lifelong) of the members within.

So...What does all this mean to you as a prospective member?

It is this constant drive for success which allows HDY to continually expand, and be one of the pioneers at the forefront of specialized Corporate service. Several imitations have attempted to duplicate the style of play HDY prides itself upon. However, although we are often imitated, we are rarely (if ever), duplicated. To borrow a phrase from a popular sports car manufacturer, "Hadean Drive Yards - Accept No Substitute".

What we mean by this is that our members, and our administration, will take the time to get to know you, train with you, and work with you in order to achieve both your personal goals as well as our Corporate goals...together.

What does Hadean Drive Yards think of her employees?

It is the firm belief of the HDY Administration that a great Corporation is nothing without great employees. Employees of the Hadean Drive Yards are mature players who understand what it takes to achieve goals within a medium scale, team oriented, production based organization. It means that they take the initiative and achieve clearly defined goals and targets without being spoon-fed or micro-managed. Our pilots are focused, driven individuals, who constantly seek to refine and hone their respective specialties. Pilots who like to push the envelope of what is see if they can do things better, faster, smarter, and with more poise than the status-quo. Prospective members are driven and innovative in the execution of their assigned duties, and even if some of the jobs we ask them to do might be considered "menial" or "without purpose", EVERY job has a purpose and contributes to the "Big Picture"...

Alright, I'm Interested, Where Can I Learn More?

Stop by and check out the various portions of the website which describe, in great detail, our mission statement, policies, structures and recruitment practices. If you then decide that you feel you'd make a great addition to the Hadean team, and that HDY sounds like a good fit for you, fill out our online application located at Online Application Form, so that we may start the application and interview process, and your future within EVE...

We have room for just about every facet of EVE playstyle but are pretty much production geeks at heart.

Having been a part of HDY a while back I can only say I've never seen a corporation with such a clear structure, goals, and chain of command. I truly recommend this corporation. 10/10 from me :)

If Andre wasn't an ardent Gallente loyalist, I'd seriously consider joining HDY's combat division (with some carebear on the side). Good luck, Overkill! Pre-alpha fans forever! Wink

I'd like to thank FAdm OverKill and the rest of the command staff for taking a chance on a new cadet out of the State War Academy. I look forward to a long and prosperous career with HDY, and I encourage anyone currently serious about bringing a sense of teamwork and responsibility to EvE to apply for a position within HDY.

Just thought I would drop a word of encouragemnt here. Over three years ago, before the game had gone public, I heard of HDY. I used to obsessively go to their website and dream. These guy are what inspired me to play this game. The fact that they can rise from the ashes of a dismal loss should prove to any interested that it would be a corp well worth your time to join. Best wishes Overkill and the HDY crew and free bump.

My corp war'd Hadean once assuming they would be easy targets. The proved to be very aggressive and were very well lead and organized. If I was an industrial type I would look no further.

I'm a new eve player trying to get into mining and possibly production. I only have 400k sp, and still working on learning (though close to getting first barge). HDY sounds like the kind of corp I'm looking to get into if I'm not too new.

Hello Rightfull, unfortunately HDY has a 60 day character policy in that we only process and accept applications for candidates whose character age is at least 60 days old.

Hello Gift, wow, high praise from an old enemy. THAT is something that is most refreshing indeed, especially with the geopolitical dynamics within EVE. *tips hat* good luck out there.
