I've got Marketing to 3, which should allow me to sell things from one system to any other system within 10 jumps, as long as its the same region.

I've got a nice route that is two hops - same region. But I can't sell from one to another. Do the items in question need to be sold while in space or can I simply sell from station to station without having to haul stuff?

Or is it just fubar'd and I wasted 3 days training useless skills :)

Skill at selling items remotely. Each level increases the range from the seller to the item being sold. Level 1 allows for the sale of items within the same solar system, Level 2 extends that range to systems within 5 jumps, and each subsequent level then doubles it. Level 5 allows for sale of items located anywhere within current region.

means you can be somewhere else and put the stuff you have elsewhere onto market. That is, without having to be in the station yourself.

you can not sell stuff to another station unless you bring your stuff to that station yourself unless that buy order is set for more than npc range (station).

so, the skill is working (should be), but not as you expected unfortunatelly ...

I figured that out the hard way last night. I still need to transport the items to a station that has a buy order, and then I can sell them within the marketing range. I'm actually glad it works the way it does - had it not I'd have made an obscene amount of ISK for no effort whatsoever.

Thanks for the heads up.
