No, once you pay for a jump clone it's yours till it gets destroyed. Jumping to and from clones is a free process.

My head burns with all this jump clone info. Here is my basic question.

I take my implant clone to Station A. I create a jump clone there. I undock and head to another station and dock at Station B. Can I jump from my implant body to this jump clone even at a station without medical facilities and still leave behind my implant clone? Also as it relates to this, do I leave behind a implant body automatically when I jump or am I somehow suppose to tell the server that I want this implant clone to be a jump target when I get back from 0.0 space.

Yes. (To first question)

Yes you leave behind a clone with implants when you jump from one and it automatically becomes a jump clone.

So once you have created your JC and start using it, you can basically jump between any two systems?

You can jump between the bodys - no matter where they are located. No cloning facility needed, no special standing needed.

Eyes are bleeding from reading this whole thing, must clarify 1 thing. Above note says no matter where they are located. So you can be in a ship in space and jump to a different J clone? 24 hours ater jump back to J clone that is in a ship in space? ( No station required?)If you can leave a clone in space in a ship does it just float there waiting to be killed or does it log off with you?

I totally agree with thatugh

Anyways,i still got some questions about this. Say i fly over too 0.0 create a jumpclone in a 0.0 station,i undock in a ship, let's say a cov ops and fly over too empire and dock in a 0.5 system, then i choose to clone jump to the destination clone i just made some time ago in that 0.0 station.
Im in that 0.0 station in a pod, right?,my cov ops ship AND my implants where left behind in that 0.5 system station. Now i undock from that 0.0 station in a shuttle and i fly over to that 0.5 system where i just jumped from (where my cov ops ship is).
Now the important question: if i dock there can i just take my cov ops back and fly around with it? (I seem to think so) BUT! If i then take my cov ops ship there with my clone without imps and i fly back to my 0.0 station. Now my destination clone in 0.5 does not have a ship anymore right?
When i now try to jump back from my 0.0 station and get in my implant body in the 0.5 station i'm in a pod and no ship in the hangar, say i don't have the opportunity to buy one either,do i have to wait until someone brings me one?

Sorry if thios all seems a little bad to understand, but i really want to know all possible situations hereRazz

thx

From page 1...

How do I activate a "Jump Clone" ?

You have to be docked in a station with no training active, then in the character sheet there is a tab for jump clones, select the one you want to jump to, and right click on it the select "CLONE JUMP".

You can only clone jump once every 24 hours, so use it wisely.

OK a couple more question that dont seem to be covered here:
When I jump to my JC from my implant body do I need to insure my jump clone also for SP lost in case I am podded or the Skill Point (SP) insurance on my implant clone covering both the implant body and the JC?

Also when I get podded in my JC do I get returned to my designated station that my JC has paid the system to return me to or does it return me to where my implant clone designated me to return me to or are they the same because I am just one person. Also my greatest fear is that I designate my station that my implant clone is is and then when I get poded I get sent to this station with my implant clone there and the system overwrites my implant clone with this new clone that is made at my desgnated "you are poded" station.

Recent experience:
My alt left our corp, created a new one, got JC installed - so far so good...
Next stage - main char leaves existing corp, joins new one, tries to get a JC - no go - Caldary Navi does not like me anymore. Look at standings - both on 8+ before skills, look at corp standing - just over 2... And that's after my alt gained ~8K LPs working for CN agents under the new corp umbrella. What the hell is that about? How can a corp with 2 members with over 8 standing have such a low corp standing? (It was obviously over 8 when the new corp was created as the alt DID get a JC).
OK, I try a different approach - quit new corp, become a member of DCM - a jump clone is instantly available... Why pay 15 mil to some guy when it appear all you need to do is to resign your own corp, get a clone, re-join? ugh

YMMV

Question, I have heard horror stories where people have lost sp when they have used their JC's. Is this possible or is it just a rumor. What are some of the draw backs of using a JC?

Rumor, you won't loose SP. No draw backs only stuff you need to be carefull with.

Never ever set your medical clone to a station you have an inactive jumpclone. If you get podded you will loose 1 JC because there can be only 1 JC in a station

Never ever use a jumpclone in a station where you have an inactive jumpclone. 1 JC will be overwritten and will loose 1 jc.

Choose wise when you jumpclone, you can do it only once every 24 hours.

Thats about it.

Cheers,

Jan

I just encountered this on a JC guide (http://eve.upallnightgaming.com/0076.asp) :

1-Initial situation
0.0 Station - Jump Clone
0.4 Station - Clone contract
0.8 Station - Current location (active clone + implants)

2-You activate Jump Clone
0.0 Station - Current location (active clone)
0.4 Station - Clone contract
0.8 Station - Jump Clone (+implants)

3-You get podded
0.4 Station - Current location (active clone)
0.8 Station - Jump Clone (+implants)

4-You activate Jump Clone
0.0 Station - Current location (active clone)
0.4 Station - Clone contract
0.8 Station - Jump Clone (+implants)

5-You create another Jump Clone
0.0 Station - Current location (active clone) + Jump Clone
0.4 Station - Clone contract
0.8 Station - Jump Clone (+implants)

6-You get podded
0.0 Station - Jump Clone
0.4 Station - Current location (active clone)
0.8 Station - Jump Clone (+implants)

I don't get the 3) to 4) step.
at 3), only the 0.4 and 0.8 station are involved, then suddently, JC is activated and location becomes 0.0?
Someone please tell me if this is really what happens, or if this guide is f00bared...

I have no idea what the above is about.

But it works like this. You get an x amount (depending on you skill) of jumpclones (read bodies) and you got 1 medical clone.

You place your JC bodies by activating them and fly them to the place you want it to be jump to another JC and rinse and repeat. You have your medical clone and if you get podded you will wake up in the station you have set your medical clone.

The whole JC thing is nothing fancy or difficult you only get multiple bodies wich you can fill with implants and strategic place arround the universe. You can use only one at a time and you can only jump once every 24 hours if you get podded it works just the same as a player without JC.

Hopes this clears thing,

Jan

Sorry, it doesn't. I did read this thread's 8 pages, what i wanted to know is the specific example above, not the theory itself, that was mentioned a lot of times already.
So, after all, JCs are not so easy to understand, because noone replied to what i asked....

Ill try to explain;

I think with clone contract they are trying to say medical clone.

So at step 3 you get podded and wakeup at your cloning facility (clone contract) active clone.

At step 4 he buys a new medical clone (clone contract) but i think the OP made a mistake because the active clone was in 0.0 but got podded and wokeup at the medical facility in 0.4. He can't activate JC and get back into 0.0 because he doesn't got a JC in 0.0 to jump to. The only way to get back in 0.0 is to fly there or use the traditional podjumping.

Hope this reply answers your questions? If not join channel dark reality around 17.00 eve-time (thats a channel a m8 of mine uses to sell JC business but also fucntioning as a kind a JC service desk. We can discuss it there.

Just a quick question that has probably been answered already but i would appreciate it if someone can help.

I make a clone in station X.
That clone is an exact copy of me inc SP but not Implants. So i assume my attributes will be lower in that clone???
So one day i decide to jump to that said clone. Am i right in saying that the SP remain the same as before i jumped, and do not revert to the day i made the clone??
Lastly saying that the SP are upto date and do not revert, my clone has no implants so does training within this clone take longer?

Thanks! Confused

Think of a jumpclone as an empty physical shell, when you 'jump' to a jumpclone you take all your non-physical possessions (Skill points) with you, yet you leave behind all the physical possesions (ie: implants)

Your attributes in clone @ station X will be your base attributes (w/o implants), nothing else.

Correct, your SP will be the same as before you jumped. It will not revert.

Technically yes, your attributes will be lower because you won't have those implants in your head. (they're back in your jump clone that you came from) Once again training will be based on your attributes of said jumpclone.

ok. I have an 8.0 standing with a corp and have a jump clone.

Ive created my own corp. Im the only member. But my corp standing is about 40% of my personal standing.

Is this normal and will it rise?

Question. Sorry if this has been answered already.

Let's say I create a jump clone at Station A. I head to Station B. I use my jump clone at Station B and im back to Station A. Now heres my question. What happens to your implants again? they are back at station B. and your at station A. You no longer benefit from their abilties?

You're correct, Your implants will stay in your Jump Clone at Station B. Since you are not 'in' or occupying that Jump Clone you will not receive the bonuses from those implants installed in that Jump Clone.

I'm still somewhat confused, I hope someone can confirm that I understood correctly:

Step 0:
Station A is where I and my Corp has enough faction to create a Jump Clone, and I do so.
Result 0:
Jump Clone without any implants in Station A.
Active character with implants in Station A.

Step 1:
Now I am in Station B (not enough faction to install Jump Clones) with all my implants and I use the Jump Clone.
Result 1:
Jump Clone with my implants in Station B.
Active character in Station A.

Step 2:
Given I have the necessary skills to have multiple Jump Clones, I create a Jump Clone in Station A.
Result 2:
Jump Clone without implants in Station A.
Jump Clone with Implants in Station B.
Active character without in Station A.

Step 3:
I travel by ship to another Station C (not enough faction to install Jump Clones), where I then use the Jump Clone that is currently in Station B.
Result 3:
Jump Clone without implants in Station A.
Jump Clone without implants in Station C.
Active character with implants in Station B.

Is this possible? Step 3 could be repeated up to the maximum of allowed Jump Clones and basically there is only need for enough faction in 1 station?

Thanks to anyone that can lighten me up. :)

Itcharo, you are correct. Just remember you can only Clone Jump once every 24 hours.

Also be sure to set your medical clone to a station that does NOT have a Jump Clone, otherwise when you get podded and re-clone it will destroy your Jump Clone you have at that station.

so...
-I set my jump clone in a 0.0 station without any implants (didn't want to risk traveling there and getting podded)
-I traveled to a medical station and jumped back to my jump clone (which had no implants)
-now I have my jump clone in a nearby station and my normal clone in a station not too far off.

I am in my normal body and now want to install implants so that my jump clone will have the implants for the next time I die.

My question is: If I switch my body with my jump clone (so that the JC will have implants) and then switch TO my jump clone and then get podded... will my JC still have the implants or will it just be my normal body w/o implants?

hm let me rephrase..

I understand you can switch between your jump clone and your normal clone.

Lets say you get podded and return to your normal clone-
you immediatly switch to your jump clone (with implants) and go back out.

You then are podded again (what bad luck) in your body which has implants.

When you return to your normal cloning station would yuor jump clone still have the implants or would it be the body that you switched with right after dying (the one without implants)?

No, you would also lose your Jump Clone if you did not set your medical clone set to the same station as your Jump Clone.

Simple question:

1)I am sitting in empire with implants installed...
2)I jumpclone to 0.0
3)24 hours later i jump back to that empire station

ok, now when i jump back to that station do my implants replug in?

One more question, what is the condition in which uour implant body would possibly be destroyed? From what i am understanding, if you have a jumpclone in empire station with implants, u fly back to that empire station, the jump down to 0.0 again, the 2nd jc would attempt to move to that station and one of them would be destroyed? Also, if you have a medical clone in same station as a jc with implants, you get podded, your implant jc does not get destroyed right?

Also i am reading posts about people asking questions like: "If i am in station A, and my jumpclone is in that exact same station, can i jumpclone to it?"
I dont understand why some1 would ask that question

Don't know if this has been answered but can you jumpclone to a POS in a 0.2 system? If so, what skills/facilities do you need?

Ok, I know this has been probably stated before, and I do apologize in advance if this annoys anyone-- I have an 8.09 standing with Federal Intelligence Office, so seeing as how I believe that I have enough standing to get a Jump Clone I head to one of the stations and attempt to create one. This is the message that I receive:

You have been denied access for the following reason:
Federal Intelligence Office does not like you. Due to this
you are denied access to the Jump Clone Facility service
at this station..

Is there something that I'm missing? And if this is based on corporation AND personal standing, must I leave my corp in order to get clones?

Again, sorry if this was already asked.
