Well the current jumpclone system doesn't allow you to have more then 1 jumpclone in a station. If you try to jumpclone to the same station 1 clone will be overwritten, because in a short moment of time you have 2 jumpclones in the same station as in your case. Let me know what the answer of your petition will be.

When you create a jump clone you must be present at the station (I think you got that, not sure). However, if you wanted to move that jump clone to 0.0 space you would have to first jump into the clone you want moved, then take a ship (or a pod I guess) with that clone and eventually dock at the station you want that clone to reside. You can then jump back into your original body and you will now have a target clone in the station you moved it to. You do not get an invincible pod to fly around in.

So basically, you cannot create clones in 0.0 without risking being podded. You can't create them remotely, and you don't get an invincible transportation device. If you want a clone there, you either have to fly there in your primary body and create them, or you have to jump into the clone in sec space and fly them out there. So you either have to risk getting your primary body podded, or your jump clone podded.

Little question here : if I decide to move an existing clone to 0.0, do I have to find a base with Medical equipment, or can I JC back to Empire from any base in 0.0 ?

If any base is ok then can someone tell me if I'm wrong planning this :
(I live in Empire, the aim is to have a place to JC to, deep in 0.0)
1. I leave my 'real-clone' base (A) in Empire and move near to another base (B) from the same Corp, and set a Jump clone there.
2. I go back to my main base (A), and I clone-jump to the base (B), therefore leaving my implants in my main base (A)
3. From base B, I undock and go deep into 0.0, in a base (C)
4. From base (C) I clone-jump to base (A) in Empire

If I do that, I have 2 questions :
- Am I getting my implants active back just by clone-jumping to base (A) ?
- Do I have now a clone-jump point in base (C), where I can clone-jump from Empire at anytime I want (once per 24h, ok) ?

Thanks for your answers and help, anyone !

Ok.. no flames please, im distraught enough and cannot focus at the moment, have read the 1st page (if you can call skimming through at a million miles per hour with tears in your eyes reading) Shocked.

But I just activated a jump clone, from my empire clone with a full set of implants. to a clone in a far of system. (I had just been podded earlier also, and thats why I was in my clone in empire).

I clone jumped, and looked at my empire clone for some reason, and all my implants have been destroyed ? WTF guys, can someone explain please.. the implants were deffo there before I jumped as I was preening them..

I dont understand. Sad

i can't seem to join Caldari Provisions, or any other NPC corp for that matter. It put me in Aliastra corp (gallente) and it won't let me create jump clones with any gallente (or caldari) npc corp.

What am I doing wrong?

Thats what I'm wondering (haven't tried jump clones). Do both 'ends' have to have a med bay?

No,
Once you have created/installed a jumpclone, you can move it to where ever you want, stations doesn't need to have a medical facilities.
Outpost work fine too Very Happy

Dang you just cost me a lot of money. Not only did it work out smoothly I'm going to have to go back on my *never have more than 10mil worth of implants plugged in* rule. NOOOO! Twisted Evil

Question:

Ok I've been hearing that every time you jump there is a chance that you'll loose your implants. If this actually happens, is this a glitch, or a "feature"?

Okay, I don't have currently the corp or personal standings with any NPC corps to get a jump clone at their stations. That being said, I have a few questions.

Firstly, say join a corp that would give me access to jump clones (either by 0.0 player-owned stations or by some of the jump clone services offered*). If I move all of these jump clones to empire space, can I jump between them unhindered by standings?

Secondly, if the above answer is "no", can a +8 personal standing to an NPC corp (but not the +8 faction standing) help me at all? I'm at +7.2 with an NPC corp currently, wouldn't be that hard to move up.

* Do these services work? That is, joining a player corp with that has +8 to an NPC corp that you have zero (absolutely none) personal standings with?

OK let me see if I got it all straight...

Golden Rule: Never Ever set a jump clone in the same station as your "normal" clone
Silver Rule: "normal" clone is NOT a jump clone

1) You need skill "Infomorph Pyschology" to use Jump Clones
2) You need an unmodified standing of 8 or better AND your corp must have 8 or better (or absolute 0) standing in order to install a jump clone
3) Once a jump clone is installed, you can use it even if you and/or corp goes below an 8 standing with that faction (think that does not apply for POS)
4) You can activate a jump clone from ANY station (even ones without a medical facility) regardless of your standing in that station. Thus a new jump clone is installed at that station (remember golden rule) and you wind up in the activated clone.
5) If you get podded, it doesn't matter if you have 0 or n jump clones, you go straight to your "normal" clone. At this point you need to buy another "normal" clone. You could then activate a jump clone but then you violate the golden rule.

Hope I got it right :)

Yes, you can jump between them unhindered by standings. The 8+ standing is only needed to CREATE the jump clone, you don't need standings to use them.

Yes they work, however they may not work forever. I've heard that it's a bug that CCP plans to fix at some point, and who knows when that will be.

You were correct on every point except this one. Your corp must have 8.0+ standing, you need either unmodified standing of 8.0+ or absolute 0.

let me see if I have got this right:

1) I go to station A where it is possible to create a jump clone and create one. That clone has no implants at this point. I now have a jump clone in this location, Station A

2) I go to station B. Activate jump clone in station A. My body with let say +3 implants is now a jump clone in station B.

3) I am now in my jump clone in station B. I install +1 implants then go to station C. I then activate my jump clone in station B.

My jumpclone (with +1 implants) is now in Station C (the jump clone location) and I am back in Station B with my +3 implant body.

4) I move to station D and then activate my jumpclone (which I originally created in station A, now is in station C) and will move to my body (with +1 implants) in station C.

5) I decide to jump back to my orginal body (with +3 implants) and activate jump clone and go to station D.

That is, I will always go to the location of where my other body is and not where I initally created the jump clone?

I have good standing with Core Complexion, a Minmatar corp, but all of the Core Complexion stations are minmatar stations or Factories (not trade posts) and do not seem to have Medical Services?!? So, no Jump Clones? Seems like Caldari and Gallente have plenty of stations with medical. Am I just missing something?

/me slaps forehead

Perhaps I suppose that they don't want their scientists clone jumping all over the place now do they.....

Would be nice if every corp had at least one clone facility somewhere. (GM's read these posts?)

No, the two systems are completely unrelated. The golden rule is NEVER jump to a jump clone that is in the station you are currently at.

e.g.

You are at StationX - your jump clone is at StationX - if you jump to that jump clone, your current body (and any implants in it) are DESTROYED.

If your jump clone is at StationX, go to StationY and jump to StationX from there - your implants are preserved at Y, and you are now at X.

I just got bit by this, losing around 20mil in implants. I had been using Jump Clones for about a week and no one ever warned me about this in-game (I suppose I have no excuse since I could have read about it here too).

I decided to leave 0.0 space so I had my jump clone in a Hauler with all my stuff. Since it was on the way, I stopped at the station I left my "original" at in high-sec, docked, and thought I was simply going to switch back to my original, implanted character. Boom all implants gone.

I guess my question is, is this by design or a bug? Am I SoL or can this be petitioned?

I am not sure that I fully understand how does jump clone work, so if some one is an expert in the area please answer my questions below.

Situation:
Lets say that I have +3 implant set and I install a jump clone in station A (somewhere in 0.0) and at the same time my skill clone is in station B.

1)
After creating jump clone in station A, are my implants still on me, or on my jump clone in station A, or….. both?

2)
I decide to take a trip to 0.0 (station A) from station C and activate my clone. Some one pod kill me shortly after jumping to station A. Will I “wake up” in station B without any implants?

3) Is my jump clone now in station C with all implants there?

4)
After 24 hours timer, and situation described in 2) happened already let’s say that from station D I activate jump clone. Will I “wake up” in station C and my jump clone move to station D?

5)
Some one pod kill me now.... Will I "wake up" in station B with no implants at all?

6)
After 5) happening I buy one +1 willpower implant and decide to activate jump clone. Will I "wake up" in station D? With what implants: +1 willpower implant that I bought, or my original set of +3 implants?

Ouch… Rolling Eyes I know.... Shocked

You did just buy a jumpclone which does not affect the body you are currently in, so after buying a jumpclone you will have an empty jumpclone in that station and your implants will still be in your own head.

Quote:

2)
I decide to take a trip to 0.0 (station A) from station C and activate my clone. Some one pod kill me shortly after jumping to station A. Will I “wake up” in station B without any implants?

If you mean you clonejump from station C to station A, your clone with implants will be left in station C. You will jump to the clone created in 1) so you will jump to a clone without any implants. After you get killed you will 'wake up'in station B without any implants.

Quote:

3) Is my jump clone now in station C with all implants there?

Yup, you can see a jumpclone as switching between 2 clones. So the body you are in will be left in the station you jumped from (including any implants) and you will be put in the body (including any implants it has) you are jumping to. When killed you will wake up in you medical (or skill) clone and the body you were in will be gone (and its implants) All jumpclones you had before you were killed will be unaffected.
Quote:

4)
After 24 hours timer, and situation described in 2) happened already let’s say that from station D I activate jump clone. Will I “wake up” in station C and my jump clone move to station D?

yup, so you will now be back in your clone you left in station C which had the +3 implants.
Quote:

5)
Some one pod kill me now.... Will I "wake up" in station B with no implants at all?

If you didn't forget to buy a new medical clone and you set it to station B you will 'wake up'in station B and your implants will be gone.

6)
After 5) happening I buy one +1 willpower implant and decide to activate jump clone. Will I "wake up" in station D? With what implants: +1 willpower implant that I bought, or my original set of +3 implants?

Your +1 implant will be in the clone you put it in. You lost all your implants when you got killed in 5) so you can only get them back by buying new ones. So if you put the +1 in your clone in station B you can jump to station D leaving a clone in station B with your implant and in station D will be an empty clone.

Quote:

Ouch… Rolling Eyes I know.... Shocked

As long as you understand that a jumpclone is only switching between clones you have created and have nothing to do with a medical/skill clone it's not too difficult Very Happy

I'm sorry but i've a doubt yet with this feature:

Station in 0.0 -> Jump clone (without implants)
Station in Caldari State (Yria) -> Clone contract
Station in Caldari State (Oisio) -> Original body (implants)

I active jump clone:

Station in 0.0 -> Body (without implants)
Station in Caldari State (Yria) -> Clone contract
Station in Caldari State (Oisio) -> Jump Clone (with implants)

I get podded:

Station in Caldari State (Yria) -> Clone contract is active (without implants)
Station in Caldari State (Oisio) -> Jump Clone (with implants)

I Jump Clone:

Station in Caldari State (Oisio) -> Body (with implants), what happens to clone contract body, it is destroyed when you activate jump clone?. Have i to contract another contract clone?

Thanks for your help.

I'm sorry, i think i have just understand the process:

Station in Caldari State (Yria) -> Clone contract is active (without implants)
Station in Caldari State (Oisio) -> Jump Clone (with implants)

If in this situation i active my jump clone:

Station in Caldari State (Yria) -> Jump clone (without implants)
Station in Caldari State (Oisio) -> Body (with implants)

So i have to purchase another clone contract.

I think this is the way it works Rolling Eyes

Not true at all. My corp has many different races in it. We all worked missions for one NPC corp, the Federation Navy. As a result our corp has an 8.0 standing with Fed Navy and everyone in it with an 8.0 or higher personal standing (mostly all of us) can install jump clones in any Fed Navy station with medical facilities.

It's a big plus, and an excellent use of time in EVE. We made alot of money and we can now support our alliance in 0.0 without the fear of implant loss in time of war. In peace time we can train skills to our hearts content and make money in high sec with our +3 or above implants. Cool

I have a technical question (edited for clarity).

My understanding #1: you cant setup a jump clone within Empire space unless your Corp has 8.0 standing with the NPC corp that operates the station with the medical facilities (you must have 8.0 as well, but that alone isnt sufficient).

My Understanding #2: when you "use" a jump clone, you effectively remove it and thus you must re-install a jump-clone at the station where you pop. You leave a clone behind from where you left, but you'd in-effect use the 1-time install where you jump to.

Main Question: Can you temporarily quit your corp, setup a jump clone, rejoin your corp and maintain that jump clone? Must you "Corp hop" each time you use this location?

2nd Question: What's the formula for corp-to-corp standing? Is it just an average?

Yes your corp and you must have an 8.0 standing with an NPC corp in any security space to use jump clones.

You purchase a jump clone at a medical facility that considers you friendly (8.0 corp and personal standings). When you hop in a ship and fly from that station to any other station and jump to your original clone, the clone you left behind "wherever" is your jump clone. Your orignal and your copy are both considered jump clones when you jump from them. Just train up and start to use them, they're kewl! You'll understand more once you have them.

You "can" quit your corp and join a corp that has the ability to use jump clones, like mine. But you still need an 8.0 personal standing with the NPC corp that the corp you tranferred to has friendly relations with, unless you join a corp that has their own station and medical facilities and wishes or bargains to give you good standings up front. You don't have to corp hop if you can get everyone in your corp to build standings with one NPC corp. My whole corp has use of jump clones cause we all worked together to make it happen. Larger corps may have issues with doing something like that.

Yes, it is an average of all corp member's personal standings before skill bonuses.

My head burns with all this jump clone info. Here is my basic question.

I take my implant clone to Station A. I create a jump clone there. I undock and head to another station and dock at Station B. Can I jump from my implant body to this jump clone even at a station without medical facilities and still leave behind my implant clone? Also as it relates to this, do I leave behind a implant body automatically when I jump or am I somehow suppose to tell the server that I want this implant clone to be a jump target when I get back from 0.0 space.
