So, there's a couple more days left to my trial, and I plan on subscribing, but there's a few weeks period right after the trial where I'll be back home without my nice fast computer that may not run Eve, so I plan on setting my character to train a long-term skill just before the trial expires, and come back with that skill trained up.

But to do that, I need to know how CCP decides expiration time.

I started November 30, 9PM PST, or around December 1st, 5AM, server time.

Will my game expire on:
1) 24*14 hours from when I used my key (that would make it December 14, 9PM PST, or around December 15th, 5AM server time)
2) Just before midnight of the 15th day of the day I signed up (so Dec, 14 4:59PM my time, or Dec 14, 11:59PM server time)
3) Something else.

Thanks! Or if the client will actually count down the number of hours/minutes remaining (instead of rounding up the days left) when the time approaches, that would probably be enough.

I can not say this for 100% sure but I think it expires at the next downtime after the time is up.

Should be no problems doing what you were thinking about.

A trial account I created 9 months ago, has not been deleted yet, and I can activate it if I like. The characters are still there also.

Even though your character will still be there when you get back I'm pretty sure you dont train skills while your account is inactiveShocked

It may not be in this case. I'm pretty sure already paid for accounts train skills through inactivity, but if trial accounts do or not I have no idea.

Yes, trial accounts train skills through inactivity too.

Well that's good to hear! There'll be a few days at least between my trial's expiration and the start up of my subscription (the holidays... and the wife...)
