Dreadnaughts, more likely...

I see destroyers all over in high to med sec space.

Have you ever seen a Burst in space?
I did buy one just because I wanted to know how they look.
Even the Minmatar NPC miners prefer flying a Reaper over them.

Shocked who said destroyers? ive seen more of those than dreads for sure...and destroyers are good for lvl2's Razz

once RMR comes out titans and carriers will join the ranks of 'EVE's Least Used' simply cause they are expensive beyond belief (im not whining...for good reason they are expensive) and they need tons of skills at lvl5.

u see a lot of destroyers in fleet engagement as tacklers

t2 destroyers that can mobile warp bubble and automatic warp scramble (entrap 0.0 targets goign warp point to warp point) and have em scrambled automatically without antoerh module will be good.

I would say the augour (amarr cruiser that is hopeless in combat but reasonable at shield and energy transfer) would be very underused (however a favourite with elvel 4 mission runners as it has reasonable speed - level 4 manufacturing agetns i mean all non combat)

Some of the factional ships which are collectors items mostly (we need all base t1 ships to have a factional counterpart from the different races navies)
ie gallente navy thorax etc

dominix would be one once the drone changes come in at leats initialy - ravens suffered a while - megathons and apocs are now more widespread in combat

Scorps are good for taking down 8 wcs battleships in travel mode.

Dreads are coming in - otherwise no i think all ships have their uses.

The average player doesn't afford a Dreadnaught, so they don't count

I think I've only a seen a Burst twice in almost two years of playing the game. And a Navitas a handful of times. Then I believe the Tormentor, Crucifier, Heron aren't too popular either. And let's not forget the forgotten cruisers, such as the Bellicose... Which, actually, is pretty much the only one that is really rare, I believe.

If I look only at ship classes, probably destroyers.

But I think battlecruisers are also not very common at least in pvp. Think most players use them for mission running, before they get a bs. Did that too. Ok maybe the ferox is an exception, not sure. I flew the Cyclone, but there is not much that I could do better with battlecruiser than with bs I think. Imho BCs are also very slow / not agile. Moving around with it feels like moving around in a small BS, so I rather take a bigger version with more shield, armor, slots, firepower.Laughing

And Exquror or how it's written.
I used it only once for moon probing and I've never seen it before in space. The cargo hold of the thorax I used before was too small to hold the probes for a system with a lot of moons. Ok, could have used a small iteron, but a cruiser with launcher, cloaking device, ab and lows full of nanofibres aligns fast to small moons, offers some comfort and works nice.

The only times I've ever seen grifins and herons being used is when some newbie hasn't been told that they're useless for what they'd use them for. The condor's a common 1st frigate for newbies though.

And yeah I've only seen a couple of typhoons, loads of scorps, doms and geddons but not phoons.

Now that some are mentioning capital ships....Anyone have more info about carriers, specifically if they can use jumpgates and can be used in empire space?...

Thus follows my list of Worst Ships Ever (i.e. not used, but not rare like impoc/faction stuff):

Heron
Maulus
Navitas
Executioner, Condor, Atron, Slasher (outside newbie systems)
Omen
Tristan
Cyclone
Bellicose
Augorer
Exequor
Celestis

And now, some ideas to make these ships more common

Heron -More cargo, or speed, or something industrial-ish. Its supposed to be the caldari version of the imicus/probe (interestingly amarr does not even have a ship of this type), but it just sucks all around.

All the other frigates -Give them more slots and more grid and whatnot. Other than ship cost (which isnt that much even if youre a new player) theres basically no reason you would want to fly a condor instead of a merlin.

Omen -1 or 2 more slots and more grid. Should be able to fit 4x heavy pulse and a halfway decent tank.

Tristan -MORE BLOODY MISSLE SLOTS! This thing is evidently the gallente missle ship, yet it has only one slot? Seriously, wtf...give it 3 missle slots and maybe another midslot and we got a deal.
Cyclone - Needs one more midslot.
Bellicose/Moa - Needs more grid, armor, shields (belli in particular needs grid and another turret point). Possibly change the 10% range bonus to 15% so its snipe range is comparable to a BS.
Augorer, Exequor -Cant really be helped, they are specialty ships.
Celestis -Needs more midslots, right now theres really no reason to fly this over a bbird.

I frequently fly from one end of the galaxy to the other and I have to say, that i regularly see all the ships that are on the list of ships that people supposedly don't fly much. I think its all where you hang out.

The only ones I dont see a lot of (or at all) are the logistic's ships. Basilisk, Guardian, Oneiros, Scimitar.

I fly one :P come find me as long as you dont blow me up :P Tho it has been phased out as i get my caracal, but it does pretty amazing in lvl 2 missions where i cant lock frigates as fast as my drones blow them up, which is fun. Also leads to not having to move much to pick up loot :)

Hey..anybody know why that arbitrator in that link DEFINATELY isnt the one in game? The slots are a definate nono.... mine are 4/3/5 not the 4/4/4 there...what gives!

Back at the beginning there where lots of these now barely used frigates and cruisers.
Since Agent missions where non existent (or broken later on) and mineral prices where WAY lower than today (not to mention that there where no battleship npcs and broken loot tables for a long time), it was kinda hard to earn enough money for even a basic tristan frigate.
I used to mine in a navitas for a while, till i could afford one myself Cool

However, i never ever saw a bellicose cruiser around, and im playing for a long time now ;)

Maybe ill go buy one just for fun now Wink

The most unsused ships are uber rare faction ships. For example there is only 1 Fedaration issue Megathron (aka Mega Fedthron) and it's probably never taken out.
BTW, Carriers will nto be "expensive beyond belief", as they are one of the cheaper capotal ships and only costs as much as freighters. Motherships on the other hand...
