Hi everyone. I updated the video drivers for my ATI 9200 with the newest Catalyst drivers from the AIT site and now I can't run EVE Online. I had to update the drivers in order to run Civ IV (which is great, btw) and now I can run EVE (which is better). When I get to the login screen I see the initial EVE Online Cold War Edition screen shot followed by a full screen black screen. That was normal for me. Next though is the login screen and I get some error message from ATI (I forget the message, and it locks my machine so I'll repost later) and then my monitor just cycles with crazy colors and the box from the login. The cycling distors text and doesn't seem to stop.

The error message is in regards to VPU

i had this problem after updatin my drivers, the way to fix it, is to go on the catalyst control center, smartgart, then turn the agp down from 8x to 4x Smile

Thanks, but now that i've tried that I can state that that didn't work for me. Does anyone else have a suggestion?

Try deleteing the pc.dat (make a backup copy first) in EVE\Cache\Settings folder. You will loose most of your personal settings, but Bookmarks/Addressbook should unaffected.

Hope it helps,

Vala D.
