I run 2 clients on this one computer and a 3rd acct on my other puter on my desk..

I'd suggest atleast a 2ghz machine with at least 1gig of mem...this makes it easy to swap(ALT+TAB) between the two accts.

Yes it is. Sometimes they get unstable when you run them both from the same hard disk, it's better to run one from one disk and one from another.

If that's not possible, turn off the sound to one of the clients, and turn off turret effects and sunc ocllusion etc. most systems should be able to run it happily enough like that.

hope this helps Smile

is that so he can make slide shows with the accounts? Shocked

j/k LaughingRazz

seriously 5 would be insane... regardless of how good the system is, i think 3 would be pushing it, its bound to be unstable YARRRR!!

5 is possible.

I do it on my system, and managed 6 (to test my new machine)

I run 3 no problem. No sound and the effects turned off.

I prob wouldn't go PvPing with all three running. But they run fine otherwise.
Have run a fourth on occasion.

They can be unstable - but not anymore than when being run alone.

I ran 5 on monday night just to push the numbers up for the player record ugh, my computer almost died though.

Anyway two clients is ceartanly posible at once, given a fast enough CPU, just dont go into unsafe space since controlling two characters when PvP'ers turn up is a tad difficult

Well, as seen 5 is possible, 2 can very well be done on most pc's (provide you have the hardware requirements).
I ussualy run into 2 problems playing 2 clienst windowed and using alt+tab:

-Only women can perform 2 tasks (or more) at the same time, and have enough 'proccessing power' left to conversate on TS.

-I'm a man. Cool

Using 2 accounts for mining, hauling or garding a hauler can be done easily, but using 2 accounts for PvP has not yet worked very well for me, except using one clients as support.

Give it a try I would say.

It certainly is possible but I find that I have to reduce the colour depth on my machine. My system is quite powerful (P4, 1GB RAM, Go5700) but the graphics system (it's a laptop) only has 128MB of RAM.

Well I do run 2 accounts on my computer in windowsmode.

My computer is:
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 1800+
RAM: 1 GB
Graphiccard: Powercolor X800 Pro

I got 2 harddisk and one is partitioned in several parts so I installed the game in 2 different partitions twice (for example I did install game 1 to the partition I call "Games" and the second one in the partition called "Programs".

Turn of the sound (disable it) and it works like a charm!!!! don't even CTD on it.

I run 2 accounts most of the time on one machine from the same installation directory, and 3 accounts when doing something like mining.

AMD 1800+
RAM 1GB
GC 128MB Radeon 9000

Nowhere near the top specs of PCs nowadays, but it was pretty much top of the range when I built it. I do get the odd rare crash, but 99% of the time it's quite stable. I do turn all features like sun occlusion and sound off, of course.

I do it with 2 accounts, both running off the same copy of eve. The only way I got it to not blue screen the machine is to disable eve's sound. I heard there were some problems with Audiogy soundcards while running 2 copies and this was the solution. It seems to work without the sound but died with sound enabled. Go figure.

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3.2ghz with HT
Ram: 2 gigabytes
HDD: IBM 123.5GB, 2x Western Digital SATA150 250GB
GFX: 256MB Gigabyte ATi Radeon 9800 Pro
Sound: Creative Soundblaster Audiogy Platinum eX

I've run 4 clients with no problems at all. However, my AthlonX2 4200+ may have something to do with that. Very Happy
