Ok i know it a dumb question but i am not qiute sure.

If i buy "Microsaft Works" direct from the US (ie someone getting software from a local shop, not over the web)
Will it work on a UK spec PC.
I cant see anyreason why not but hey i dont know everything.Cool

Come to think of it i dont know anything much.Shocked

O well at least my few brain cells have plenty of room to move around in Laughing

Yes it'll work.

Just so you know, most software uses something called localisation now, which basically means instead of having to program a special version for every language they can just program one version and add the languages/symbols in a file you choose at install time.

don't buy microsoft works, go with microsoft office, much better

and as far as being compatible it should work it's only really DVDs and console games that have compatibility issues, we bought our DVD player in canada a while ago, and my stepdad(from england) received a couple of DVDs from his mother in england, they wouldnt run, so we found a website that told u how to set your DVD player to multi-region, works like a dream now .. hehe
