i have an afk indicator  i type into my chat channel- /me goes afk * works like a charm! and if someone starts talking to me (maby they didnt see the msg) and they dont realise im afk..... A. they are stupid enough that i dont care and B. the chatlogs would be priceless.... but anyways /signed (might be useful) |

I included this idea into a recent petition for when we couldn't get in-game.
They emailed me back saying I should post here and also submit it as a Bug Report.
I just got finished submitting the Bug Report for it.
Perhaps if we ALL submit Bug Reports for it.................
Anyways, I'll be happy to paste the email text if in doubt about the legitamacy of filing it as a bug report.
As to using an emote, that's fine but just not "long term" enough. A greyed out portrait, an asterisk, anything to let us know that someone is afk in the chat would be very nice.

Excellent idea. Then one can stop wondering if someone is really there or not. Most of us tend not to tell people when we go AFK. We just get up and go. This would be a very useful feature to have.

Yep this is needed, but i think everyone should be allowed to specify a color of their choosing, cos i think it would look good as grey, but others would like dark blue, etc.. |
