What the heck is going on?
Before this latest patch, a Thorax cost us the following: 423134 Trit, 106152 Pyre, 35996 Mex, 7354 Iso, 1754 Nocx, 358 Zyd and 72 Mega.

NOW:
720797 Trit, 180413 Pyre, 46920 Mex, 11371 ISO, 2798 Nocx, 701 Zyd and 178 MEGA.

Just what the heck are you doing? Nothing in ANY game patch notes said ANYTHING about this.I have been pondering WHY my mega supply was starting to run so low, so fast. Now I know.

Since the patch, we have made 2 Blackbirds, 3 Ruptures, 3 Stabbers and 3 Thorax. If all of the ships now need more minerals in line with the increase to the Thorax, that is a substantial increase.

Are you TRYING to drive people away? Or is this a bug? We only build for internal use, but how are those in the business of shipbuilding going to compete now with these NEW mineral costs?

If this in not a bug, but planned, it was very underhanded not to inform everyone before hand. If it is a bug, then a lot of corps require a lot of minerals basck, or you are talking about a 3 day rollback. Either way, this can only hurt the game.

uh, no dude, those were the reqs before this last patch. Has it been a long time since you made a Thorax? Are you sure you weren't riding some bug and now you're back to reality?

Just a reminder: This is not a customer support area, so you cannot expect to get an official CCP answer to any question. Sometimes Pann answers questions anyhow, but my point is that you should probably contact customer support with questions (or possibly head over to the Patch Review forum).

I don't know the official CCP response, or if there even is one, all I know is what a corp mate told me. In response to the complaints from many people that the market was dying and items were too cheap, ccp raised the ore requirement in order to try and bring prices back up. I was told requirements were raised 25%, though your numbers are higher. Again, this is not official, only what someone told me. I hope it helps.

Even if they did increase the mineral requirements it would only be for the better, the current deflation in the market means most items (Bar battleships, but give it a month or so) are going for next to near build cost.

It would only be a tempoary measure of course. They need to work on limiting blueprints in order to crack the problem efficentley.

Yeah the mineral increase was a while back. Get the production efficiency skill to offset the mineral costs.

As for the customer help area. Avoid it like the plague. You ask a question and then they forget about you. My petition for the lost time on a bp copy is still in there somewhere. They asked me for details and that was 4 days ago. No reply email to reassure me that it was being taken care of. I have sent several emails back and still getting no response. I hope their automated system is not losing emails or backlogged.

Forgive me for being so surprised by this. Normally another of my people do the building, and I had to start one today, the first one I have built in a while. When last I made one, the prior minrals were needed, so that is why I was so surprised.

Just so you know, the numbers you quoted at the beginning were the number for a Vexor, not a Thorax.
