This has happened twice to me in the last few days and I was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem.

I spent several hours one night finding a really lucrative trade route (over 2.5 mil a run). This route had a huge supply, and a huge demand.

After several hours I had barely put a dent in the supply/demand and decided to head to bed. The next day after I returned from work my trade run was still there, with the same supply/demand as the night before, but the demand price had droped by 4/5ths. Odd.

So I find a different run, equally as lucrative, with high supply/demand. Run it for a few hours then head to bed. The next day the supply/demand is the same but the profits are gone once again.

So whats the deal with this? Anyone else noticed this?

No, I have noticed this happening -- I assume that it is because there is some algorithm that bases the demand price on how much trading has actually gone on with that route over the last 24 hours.

I could understand that, if say, I supplied 50% of the demand.

However the actual demand was like 195,000+ units, and I delivered maybe 10% of that in a couple of hours.

Even at 20000 units delivered, how does that justify my profit going from 550isk/unit to under 100isk/unit?

Its really odd. Even now, a few days later, the price hasnt moved. Its messed.

noticed this a while ago...it seems that once you start a route the price on the buying end will remain the same, but once the server goes down and comes back up, the buying price is reduced. try to knock out as much as you can, when you have a route because once you stop...the price will go down.

Well that sucks. I guess next time I find a good route Ill do just that.
Set everything up, log off for the night and get a good run at it the next day.

From your experience does the price come back?
