Ok, I don't use missles so I really don't have much concern over this matter but here's an idea anyway for anyone who may wish to comment. Would it not be fairly simple for the splash damage to be recoded so that only the targeted ship would take the damage? I don't think I've ever heard anyone say they actually intended to damage more than one ship with their missle. (Maybe a new weapon in the future could be an area damage like a tactical nuke for attacking formations of enemies) But at this time is it really necessary at all to have splash damage with little homing missles? Would simply taking this out not get rid of alot of the "I splashed the gate and concord nuked me" complaints? Of course bombs are a different story I guess, because most people I think just use them to take out incoming missles. That being the case though couldn't bombs be revamped, making specialized bombs. For example having some types of bombs that are designed specifically for missile defense and only damage missles and others which would damage "Targeted" ships within range. Just curious, Dev's if you're reading would this be possible? I'm sure alot of people would complain that selective bomb damage wouldn't be realistic enough for them and people should be more carefull but personally I don't care for being told the only way I can use an area weapon around allies is if I'm ganged with them.
