Does the corp continue but fixed at the present level of memebers, or does it dissapear ?

If it disappears what happens to all the assetts ?

If he then renews again after a break does the corp re-appear ?

Shareholders are supposed to be able to propose a vote to have the CEO removed. All shareholders are allowed to vote on this. However, my friend in another corp says they have this exact problem and the voting system it not working. Their CEO has been missing for a couple of weeks now and noone knows what happened.

Also, what happens to the shares issued to the CEO if they cancel their accounts and are removed from the CEO role. These shares show on the corp as being issued however, they are gone forever. Would be nice if they were dumped back into the corporation when the character is deleted.

Thats why a good corp will have two or three Primary directors that can do everything the CEO can do. If the worst case happens and the CEO up an leaves you move all the addets out of the corp hangers and accounts. Remove everyone then start a new corp.

It's a pain but theres no easy way to do it. If it's a small corp odds are the CEO holds most if not all the shares anyway so even if the voting was working you would be stuck.

Avoid corps that one person keeps all the power. Eventually he or she will quit and your screwed.

Crim - Not planing on leaving just yet, but it does bother me that if say my account was suspended or my credit card expired, or I just left, that everyone else would be screwed.

IMO, this is not just a problem with CEO's, although it is obviously more critical.

Personally, I would like to see more status information on the corp character info, such as last log on date, sub active y/n.

Right now one problem we have is that a few people have quit playing, but their characters are still in the corp. Since the corp inherits any property from a deleted character, we have kept these 3-4 people in for now, but if the characters for cancelled accounts just stay around forever you will end up with a situation like Asheron's Call - where some guilds have characters in them that have not played for over 2 years.

So if the CEO cancels his account the character remains as CEO and the corp continues - but in a frozen state of development ( as far as training to add new members etc ). This isnt so bad as people have time to organise a new organisation or remove the CEO.

Good luck getting office space for your new Corp. We have one member with a 30% share who up and quit... now we cant ever pay dividends to our members until we start a new corp.

Pretty stupid if you ask me.

Not surw how long a grace period CCP will leave an account frozen for, but if all details are removed, then the CEO will pass down the line to whoever joined the corp first, until someone with the CEO skill is come across, that person will then get control of the corp (this info was correct as of beta 7) - best thing you can do if you are THAT worried - log on to chaos and try deleting your character from there - you will be able to see the results that way. Thats an important point everyone - Chao's server is updated once a week (or fortnight) with the details from tranquility, any major tests you want to do, use Chaos to try it out on - you loose nothing and will still be able to see what happens.
