Hello all.

I just upgraded my account moments ago from the 14 day trial to an active account. Interesting game, even though I have only scratched the surface, it feels deep. Time will tell I suppose.

Currently playing an Amarr Miner, with unfortunately low perception, but I have decided to try and slug it through anyway. Just got to industrial ships with my 2nd try at a character using the advice of a very helpful older player who looks in on me from time to time.

Now switching to learning and attribute skills non-stop.

I must say it is the community of players that has me impressed. I donít want a lot of free stuff, I want to fight my way into the game. Or rather trade my way into riches. But the helpful advice, and the warnings have been a tremendous help.

Just wanted to say hello, Thorsen is my characters name, and I am happy to become part of the Eve community.

Current Atbs
Intelligence 9 Trained once
Perception 8 Trained 3 times, ack!!!
Charisma 4
Willpower 12
Memory 13 Trained once

Having a blast, and thanks for the warm welcome.

LOL posted with the wrong character.... still learning.Shocked

it doesn't look like too bad a character, attribute wise.

The key (i've found) to having fun in EVE is to join a corp of likeminded individuals. Almost every corp i know wants new members to replace those who've left, so you won't be stuck for choice on who to join.

Yep, those are pretty good attributes to be honest. My Perception was absolutely dire when I started, but with the advanced learning skills and implants (note - implants are a luxury, so don't be afraid of losing them, despite what other players may say) you can easily get Perception nice and high.
Memory is probably the most important skill to an industrialist, so you're off to a good start there, and you've wisely decided to ignore Charisma! Once you've got a vague idea of where you want to specialise, you'll have a blast! If you want any detailed advice on mining or production, just drop me an Evemail in game. In the mean time, enjoy!

Nice to have new ppl all the time and helping them out..

I was confused little for a month, but a friend and other nice ppl helped me a lot..Very Happy

So wanting to do the same to others, know them or not..

Helping them in start by giving some stuff I don't much use/need, and a start boost with 1m to buy basic learning skills, turret, missile etc. needed skills..

So much for explainingRolling Eyes

Warmly welcomeWink

Yes, probably the biggest thing he helped me with so far was a set of bookmarks. With those I can warp to an asteroid belt and start mining immedeatly, then warp back to the station and dock immedeatly.

No aproaching needed.

Even the idea that you can do that has saved me a TON of time. Mining now for cash to buy skills.
